Phuket Nonnita Boutique Resort – SHA Plus Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first stumbled upon Phuket Nonnita Boutique Resort – SHA Plus, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in smaller packages, and this little gem absolutely proved that point.

The thing about boutique resorts in Phuket is that they either nail the intimate, personalized vibe or they fall flat trying too hard to be something they’re not. Nonnita gets it right – there’s this relaxed authenticity here that honestly feels refreshing after staying at some of the massive resort complexes on the island. The property itself has this sort of modern Thai aesthetic without being overly themed, if that makes sense. Clean lines, natural materials, but with enough local touches that you actually feel like you’re in Thailand, not just some generic tropical resort. The pool area is probably my favorite spot – it’s not huge, but it’s perfectly sized for the property and has this great afternoon sun that hits just right around 3 PM.

What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about making your stay work. I mean, you’re not getting butler service or anything, but there’s this warmth and helpfulness that goes way beyond what you’d expect. They actually remember your name after the first day, which sounds small but makes such a difference. The rooms are well thought out too – nothing fancy, but everything works properly (the AC is solid, which trust me, matters in Phuket), and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling cramped. The bathroom situation is actually quite good – decent water pressure and they keep it spotless. Location-wise, you’re close enough to the action when you want it but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night without dealing with the party noise that plagues some areas. I found myself walking to nearby local spots for dinner pretty regularly, and the staff gave me some solid recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. Honestly, with a 9.2 rating, this place is doing something very right – it’s that sweet spot where the price makes sense, the experience exceeds expectations, and you leave feeling like you got genuine value rather than just paying for a place to crash.

  • Abdullah from Saudi Arabia (10/10)

I liked the antique furniture of the place it’s amazing, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, the owner trying so hard to take care of the guests.

  • Andy from United States (10/10)

The woman who ran the place and all of the staff were friendly and helpful beyond my expectations. I am not used to a host being this good. We felt so welcome. Beautiful grounds.

  • Gareth from United Kingdom (8/10)

Very scenic gardens that gave a homely & rustic feeling, creating a welcome atmosphere to relax

  • Alberto from Italy (10/10)

  • Ruth from Italy (10/10)

An absolutely wonderful, small ,natural resort… Beautiful garden and vegetable garden and fun Thai cooking courses. We had a very clean , large room and bathroom for the three of us with spotless white tiled floors, bedding and towels. Great air-conditioning in the bedroom and living room.
However what really makes this place shine above the rest is the owner and lovely people who work together to make it so special.
They will make you feel like you are part of the family and I would recommend it for both families, couples and female solo travellers or girls travelling together .

It's a charming place with lots of carefully designed amd well maintained natural beauties. Judy and the staff were so kind, and the food was amazing and surprisingly affordable

  • Manan from United States (10/10)

Family owned hotel with a lovely theme and perfect vibes. Great for long stays as they were very accommodating. The cooking class was worth it. You learn 4 Thai dishes and you make them from scratch, no powder, no msg, from their farm to table. Waking up and crossing the creek in the morning feels surreal. Photos don’t do justice, you needed to be there.

  • Sana from Canada (10/10)

Judy and her husband are the best hosts we've ever had, anywhere we've gone. They are genuinely lovely people.
The rooms are also wonderfully clean, well air-conditioned, and comfortable. The facilities are gorgeous.
I look forward to returning and staying here!

  • Matthew from United Kingdom (10/10)

Everything was great from the moment we turned up till the moment we left. The staff couldn’t do enough for you.

  • Pamela from United States (10/10)

I had a wonderful time and left feeling like I was part of the family. It is more of a home stay than just a hotel as the owners and family live on the beautiful grounds. Do take the cooking class as they will take you around the property and show you all the wonderful things they grow on site (Thai cherries, star fruit, ginger, many many herbs!) They have a beautiful outdoor kitchen where you will prepare the dishes for your meal.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful! Just walk past the gate and you feel like you are in the country far from town. There is a stream that runs throughout. A beautiful swimming pool. They have a pet water buffalo, Kunai which means Diva in Thai. At night there is no noise of any cars or traffic – all you hear are the frogs and insects making the most beautiful night music.

My visit was extended because I caught the flu and they took such wonderful care of me, bringing soup and ginger tea to my room. Judy and her family are kind, caring warm hearted people. I definitely plan on returning.
