I’ll be honest, when I first pulled up to Phuket Leelavadee Hua Ting Resort, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect – the name’s a bit of a mouthful, and it doesn’t scream luxury like some of the bigger chains. But you know what? Sometimes those are exactly the places that surprise you. This four-star spot has this understated charm that really grew on me during my stay.

What struck me right away was how the place feels authentically Thai without being kitschy about it. The lobby has these beautiful traditional wood carvings, and there’s always this faint scent of jasmine floating around – not from some artificial air freshener, but from actual flowers they keep in ceramic bowls. The staff here genuinely seems to care, which is refreshing. I mean, they remembered my name by the second day, and the front desk guy actually gave me solid recommendations for local street food spots that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. Speaking of which, if you’re staying here, definitely ask them about the night market that sets up about ten minutes away on Tuesdays and Fridays – it’s where the locals actually eat, and the mango sticky rice there is incredible.

The rooms are comfortable without being flashy – clean lines, decent air conditioning (crucial in Phuket), and bathrooms that actually have good water pressure. I stayed in one of their pool-view rooms, and honestly, waking up to that view was pretty perfect. The pool area is where this place really shines though. It’s not massive, but it’s surrounded by these lush tropical plants, and there are enough quiet corners that you can find your own little spot even when it gets busy. The poolside service is solid too – they make a mean Thai iced tea, and their pad thai is surprisingly good for hotel food. One small thing that bugged me was the WiFi could be spotty in some parts of the property, but it was fine in the main areas and most rooms. Also, if you’re a light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs – there’s a main road not too far away, and you can hear some traffic noise in the early morning hours. But really, that’s pretty minor stuff. For what you’re paying, especially compared to some of the flashier resorts, this place delivers where it counts – genuine hospitality, solid amenities, and that authentic local feel that makes you remember why you wanted to visit Thailand in the first place.

The front desk team, especially Jiazhu and Nong, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. They were incredibly helpful, always available to answer questions, and quick to provide recommendations for dining and activities in the area. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality truly enhanced my experience.
  The resort itself is stunning, with beautifully maintained gardens and serene surroundings that create a peaceful retreat. I particularly enjoyed the relaxing pool area and the gym and sauna facilities.

  Very conveniently placed. I really liked the vintage resort style. Rooms are spacious with a garden facing or pool facing balcony. We got 2 rooms that are conveniently merged thru an inner door. Staff are smiling and friendly. Our fellow Don is really amazing…. who guided us in many ways.
