The bathroom setup is clean and functional, though the water pressure can be a bit temperamental – sometimes it’s great, sometimes you’re standing there waiting for the shampoo to rinse out.

What really makes this place work is the staff’s approach – they’re helpful without being hovering, and most speak solid English which makes everything smoother. The pool area is where they really nailed it, actually. It’s not massive, but it’s got this nice layout where you can find shade pretty much any time of day, and the water’s kept clean. I spent a lot of evenings there just unwinding with a beer from the nearby 7-Eleven (there’s one literally a three-minute walk away, along with some decent local food stalls that the hotel folks will point you toward). The location puts you close enough to the action when you want it – you can grab a tuk-tuk to Patong in about fifteen minutes – but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the chaos when you don’t. Parking‘s available if you rent a scooter, which honestly is the best way to get around the island anyway. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind, but for the price point and that 8.2 rating it’s earned, this place just works. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
