Phuket Jungle Experience Resort Overview
You know what? When I first heard about Phuket Jungle Experience Resort, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect – I mean, there are so many places in Phuket that promise jungle vibes but deliver nothing more than a few palm trees around the pool. But this three-star spot actually delivers on that promise in ways that genuinely surprised me.
The thing that hits you right away is how they’ve managed to tuck this place into actual greenery without making you feel like you’re roughing it in the wilderness. I’m talking about waking up to the sound of tropical birds instead of scooter engines – which, if you’ve spent any time in the busier parts of the island, you’ll appreciate more than you can imagine. The rooms aren’t fancy by any stretch, but they’re clean and comfortable with this sort of rustic charm that feels intentional rather than neglected. What I loved most was stepping out onto my little balcony in the morning with coffee and actually feeling like I was somewhere different, not just another beach resort with a jungle theme slapped on top. The staff here really knows their stuff too – they’ll point you toward hiking trails that most tourists never hear about, and honestly, some of the best sunset spots I found were based on their casual recommendations.
Here’s the thing though – this isn’t the place if you’re looking for Instagram-perfect infinity pools or five-course dinners. The food is decent local fare, nothing groundbreaking, but there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on the experience rather than trying to be everything to everyone. I actually found myself spending way more time exploring the area than lounging around the resort, which I think is exactly the point. The location puts you close enough to the action when you want it – the main beaches and night markets are totally doable – but far enough away that you can actually hear yourself think. Plus, and this might sound silly, but there’s something about falling asleep to jungle sounds that just hits different than the usual hotel experience. If you’re the type who gets excited about spotting lizards on your morning walk or doesn’t mind that the Wi-Fi gets a bit spotty during heavy rain, you’ll probably love what they’re doing here.

Loved the Jungle Experience! The property is really special, up the hill a short way and has a spectacular sunset view (with decks and a bar!). Such a relief after the chaos of the towns below. The pool was refreshing, the sweet dog Bamboo was the best ‘host’ :), and to have a restaurant onsite made our stay so much more of a vacation. There are posts that talk about the road being too far to walk, but there is a good way up/down and a longer, bad way. At this time (January 2024) if you stick to Soi PATAK 20 you’ll be fine!

Overall a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located at a 10 minutes drive from landmark Karon Beach. It is a beautiful property, situated at a quiet hilltop with a very beautiful view from its sunset bar. Food options were also good. Best part about the property though is the ever smiling staff always ready to help you and make your stay the most comfortable. Bonus point – the owner herself manages the property and is super helpful and friendly!

Amazing location. So beautiful in the forest with stunning views over the sea. Away from the bustle of Karon. Very spacious. The pool was delightful and very private

It is a resort up in the mountain. Definately you will need transportation to reach city. But if you have such its lovely place to escape. Liked included yoga class for residents. Plus lovely terrace to meet sunset.

The hotel is located on top of a hill in the middle of the jungle. Is a privileged location although a little bit uncomfortable if you’d like to reach the services as bars/restaurants and shops by walk. Very good food by the hotel restaurant we had breakfast two days una row and a dinner, all was delicious. The owners are friendly and they will help you.
