First Impressions

Walking into Peach Hill Resort – SHA Extra Plus, you immediately get that feeling of being somewhere special without the pretentiousness that comes with some of the pricier places. The lobby has this warm, welcoming vibe — not too flashy, but definitely well-maintained. What struck me first was how the staff actually seemed to care about making your stay comfortable, which honestly isn’t always a given at four-star properties these days.

Location & Getting Around

The location on Leam Sai Road is actually pretty smart — you’re close enough to Kata Beach that it’s an easy walk, but far enough up the hill that you escape the noise and chaos of the main tourist strip. I mean, couples seem to really get this balance (they rate the location 8.5, which makes total sense). You’ve got free parking right on site, which is a huge plus if you’re planning to rent a car and explore beyond the immediate area. The road up can be a bit steep if you’re walking, but that’s the trade-off for the quieter setting.

The Room Experience

My room was clean and comfortable — nothing groundbreaking, but everything worked as it should. The air conditioning was reliable (crucial in Thailand’s heat), and the bed was actually quite comfortable. What I appreciated was the attention to small details — fresh towels daily, decent water pressure in the shower, and enough electrical outlets that you don’t have to choose between charging your phone and using the hairdryer. The view from my balcony looked out over the hills, which was peaceful in the evenings.

Food & Activities

Breakfast is served buffet-style with a decent mix of Asian and American options — you know, the usual suspects like eggs and toast alongside some local dishes. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’ll definitely fuel you up for the day ahead. The fitness center is small but functional if you need to work off those pad thai calories. There’s also a golf course within a couple miles if that’s your thing, and they can arrange fishing trips, though I didn’t try that myself.

Why Guests Love It

What really works about this place is that it delivers on the basics without trying to be something it’s not. You’re getting solid value for a four-star property in a location that gives you options — beach time when you want it, but also easy access to explore other parts of Phuket. The staff genuinely seems to want you to have a good time, and there’s something to be said for that kind of authentic hospitality. It’s the sort of place where you can relax without feeling like you need to dress up for dinner or worry about whether you’re doing the “right” resort activities.

  The location of the hotel was excellent just a few hundred yards from the Main Street where all the restaurants, bars and shops are.
  
  The staff at the hotel were amazing especially the guy in charge of booking excursions he was absolutely amazing so friendly went above and beyond to book us the best excursions in fact he made our stay at the hotel so memorable. I wish to thank him!
