Sometimes those mid-range spots surprise you, and this one actually does a decent job of covering the basics without trying to be something it’s not.

The thing about staying in Patong is that location trumps almost everything else, and this hotel gets that. You’re close enough to the beach chaos when you want it, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the constant thumping bass from the bar strips until 4 AM – trust me, that matters more than you think when you’re trying to sleep off a day in the Thai sun. The rooms are clean and functional, nothing fancy but the air con works (crucial), and the beds are actually comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been sleeping on concrete. The bathrooms are small but they’ve got decent water pressure, which honestly puts them ahead of some pricier places I’ve stayed around here.

What I really appreciated was how straightforward everything felt. The staff at reception knows enough English to help with the usual tourist stuff – getting a taxi, recommending local spots that aren’t total tourist traps, that sort of thing. They’re not going to plan your whole itinerary, but they’re not trying to upsell you on every single thing either. The breakfast is pretty standard Thai hotel fare – some fruit, toast, basic coffee – but it’s included and gets you started without having to hunt down food first thing. I mean, you’re probably going to want proper coffee later anyway, but it does the job. The pool area is small but clean, and honestly, it’s perfect for a quick dip to cool off between beach sessions or before heading out for dinner. Just don’t expect resort-level poolside service or anything like that.

  The smart bus to/ from Phuket town runs in front of the hotel. Though the bus to Rawai you have to go to the bus stop near Jungceylon shopping mall.
