Paresa Resort Phuket Overview
You know what honestly surprised me about Paresa Resort Phuket? It’s not just another five-star property trying too hard to impress – this place actually gets the balance right between luxury and, well, not making you feel like you’re in some sterile resort bubble. Perched up on the cliffs of Kamala, it’s got this incredible position where you’re looking out over the Andaman Sea, but you’re not stuck in the middle of the touristy chaos down in Phuket Town or Patong.
The infinity pools here – and there are several of them – genuinely feel like they’re spilling right into the ocean below. I mean, I’ve seen plenty of infinity pools that are more about the Instagram shot than the actual experience, but these ones hit different. The water temperature is perfect year-round, and honestly, the best time to be in them is right around sunset when the whole sky turns these incredible shades of orange and pink. The staff seems to know this too – they’ll quietly refill your drink without you even asking, which is one of those small touches that separates good places from great ones. The restaurant situation is solid – their Thai cuisine actually tastes authentic (not dumbed down for tourists), and their seafood is clearly sourced locally because everything tastes like it came out of the water that morning.
What really sold me on this place though is how they’ve managed to keep it intimate despite being a proper luxury resort. There are only about 50 villas scattered across the hillside, so you never get that crowded resort feeling where you’re fighting for space or waiting in lines. Each villa has its own private pool, which honestly feels a bit excessive until you’re actually there at 7 AM with your coffee, watching the fishing boats head out while the rest of the world is still asleep. The drive up from the main road is a bit winding – your taxi driver will earn his tip, trust me – but that’s exactly why it feels so secluded once you arrive. Pro tip: if you’re planning to explore beyond the resort, rent a scooter rather than relying on taxis constantly, because the location, while beautiful, does mean you’re about 15 minutes from the nearest restaurants and shops in Kamala. The resort’s spa is genuinely world-class too, and they do this thing where they incorporate traditional Thai healing methods with modern techniques that actually works instead of just being a gimmick. It’s pricey, sure, but for what you get – and that 9.2 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen, it’s earned – it’s one of those places that makes you understand why people save up for special trips.

Very helpful and sweet staff, which were able to give us the feeling of being home. People like Oak, May Nokkie, Kim and Winter gave us an always welcoming and positive vibe.
That’s rare and special for such a high-end hotel.
The resorts location is breathtaking beautiful with lots of wildlife: sea turtle, eagles, giant bats and so on.
The food in the restaurant is very good in western and thai cuisine.
The Spa is pricey, but you know what, it’s definitely worth it. I had a blockade in my shoulder and after two sessions, it was away.
Our plan was to travel a little bit around Phuket, but the hotel was so nice, so we didn’t left it until checkout, which is uncommon for us.
We will come back!Nik from United Kingdom (10/10)
