The 150 meters to Surin Beach thing isn’t marketing fluff – I literally timed it, and it’s about a two-minute walk through some local shops and past that little coffee cart that makes surprisingly decent iced lattes (the owner speaks perfect English, by the way). The terrace is where this place really shines though. I mean, most hotel balconies are just big enough for drying your swimsuit, but here you’ve got actual space to spread out with your morning coffee or evening Chang beer. The modern part of the name checks out too – everything feels crisp and new, none of that slightly musty tropical hotel smell you get in older places around Surin.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being so close to the action. Surin Beach gets absolutely packed during high season, especially with the Russian and European crowds, but somehow the noise doesn’t carry back to the property. The bedroom setup works well for couples or even solo travelers who want more space than a typical hotel room – there’s actually a proper living area where you can hang out without feeling like you’re trapped in a bedroom all day. The kitchen isn’t huge, but it’s functional enough if you want to grab some fruit from the local market or keep drinks cold. Speaking of which, the mini-mart about 50 meters down the street stocks everything you’d need, plus they’re open until midnight which saved me more than once.

The whole area has this relaxed but upscale vibe that’s different from the chaos of Patong or the backpacker scene in other parts of the island. You’re walking distance from some genuinely good restaurants – not just the tourist traps with laminated menus, but places where locals actually eat. There’s this little Thai place tucked behind the main road that does the best green curry I had during my entire trip, and the staff at PALMYRAH pointed me toward it, which shows they actually know their neighborhood.

Honestly, the 8.5 rating makes sense when you experience it firsthand. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort with infinity pools and spa treatments, but as a comfortable, well-located base for exploring this part of Phuket, it hits all the right notes. The terrace alone makes it worth considering – there’s something pretty great about having your own outdoor space just steps from one of the island’s prettier beaches.

  When we arrived, we had to wait about 20 minutes for the owner's assistant to bring us the keys. We arrived quite late after 9 pm, so the wait was justified. The room was very pleasant, clean, comfortable, only the door to the bathroom was hard to close. Apparently, due to the high humidity, the tree swelled and it was necessary to make an effort. We had cleaning done twice during the entire stay. We didn't pay anything on top of the amount withdrawn by booking. About the location: the beach is not far from 7 minutes on foot, but there are not enough good restaurants around to go for dinner. In any case, I recommend this great place!

  Всё было супер, апартаменты чистые, местоположение удобное в тихом районе, как мне и хотелось, рядом с пляжем Сурин. 2 бассейна на территории. В апартаментах уборка каждые 3 дня. Замена полотенец и пополнение туалетной бумаги,шампуня и т.п. хозяин всегда за связи.

  удачное месторасположение между двух пляжей. Аппартаменты вроде бы новые, и все есть в них необходимое, но ооооочень маленькие. Все стильно, но не развернутся, нам с мужем вдвоем было тесно, а как люди семьями по 4 человека в такие заезжают – мне не понять. Здесь пишут 35-40 кв.м., мы повелись на это, а по сути от силы 25. у меня через несколько дней клаустрофобия начала развиваться. Прожили неделю и переехали в другие.

  Современный дизайн помещения, спальня отделена от гостиной и кухни перегородкой, чистый санузел с современной отделкой, в нем приятно находиться, душ с несколькими режимами работы , включая « водопад» под которым отлично массируется шея и спина, красивый длинный бассейн, наличие спортзала и второго бассейна на крыше, есть вся необходимая посуда и бытовая техника, удобная кровать , в шкафу было 4 банных халата, коврик для пляжа, пляжные полотенца, в ванной был гель для душа. Никаких насекомых замечено не было.
