You know what caught me off guard about Palmview Resort? The name actually undersells it – I was expecting some generic palm-tree-laden place, but this three-star spot has way more personality than that suggests. Honestly, when I first pulled up, I thought I might have made a mistake booking here, but after spending a few days, I’m genuinely glad I gave it a chance.

The thing is, this isn’t trying to be some fancy resort where you feel like you need to dress up for breakfast. It’s got this relaxed, almost residential vibe that grows on you. The rooms are clean and comfortable – not Instagram-worthy or anything, but you’ll actually sleep well, which is what matters when you’re traveling. I mean, the AC works properly (thank god), the shower has decent pressure, and the beds aren’t those rock-hard mattresses some places try to pass off as “firm support.” The staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you’re settled in, not just checking boxes on some corporate hospitality checklist.

What really won me over was how the place operates day to day. Mornings are pretty quiet – you can actually enjoy your coffee without fighting crowds or dealing with that frantic resort atmosphere some places have. The pool area gets lively in the afternoons, but it’s families and couples just relaxing, not party central. I spent a good chunk of time just reading by the water, and honestly, it felt more like staying at a friend’s well-run guesthouse than a typical hotel. The grounds are well-maintained without being obsessively manicured – there are actual birds in the trees, not just decorative landscaping. Plus, parking was never an issue, which saved me the headache of circling around looking for spots. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities, but sometimes you just want a place that does the basics really well and doesn’t make you feel like you’re paying for a bunch of stuff you won’t use. The 8.8 rating makes total sense once you spend time here – it’s that sweet spot where expectations meet reality in a pleasant way.

  They were very welcoming and kind hearten and helped us us all the way . We were looking for a suggestion for a daylong tour at phi phi island ,Maya bay ; they arranged immediately and that was amazing. Highly recommended.

  The property did the job. It was a clean, affordable place. Nice balcony too. The staff were always on hand if needed and offered to clean the room again on the second day. Many nice breakfast and dinner options within 1/2 minute walk from the resort. Patong beach and Patong Walking Street 10/15 min walk.

  This hotel is one of my favourite to stay, when I visit in Phuket. Very friendly staff. Everything working perfectly. Not any complaint. I like it.
  But those who doesn't care so much a lil bit noise on the street, there is also garden/swimming pool view rooms.
