I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Palm Garden Resort, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place. You know how it is with mid-range hotels, they can really go either way. But this one actually surprised me in the best possible way, and I mean that genuinely.

The first thing that hits you is how well they’ve maintained everything. I’ve stayed at plenty of places that looked great in photos but felt tired in person – this isn’t one of those. The palm trees they’re named after aren’t just decorative afterthoughts either; they’ve created these little pockets of shade around the property that make wandering around during the day actually pleasant. The pool area (and honestly, this is where a lot of three-star places fall short) feels like they put real thought into it. It’s not huge, but the layout works well and the water’s always been clean when I’ve visited. There’s enough lounge chairs that you’re not doing that awkward early morning towel race, which I appreciate more than I probably should.

What really won me over though was the staff – they’ve got this relaxed professionalism that hits just right. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or surprise charges, and when I had a minor issue with the air conditioning, someone was up to fix it within twenty minutes. The rooms themselves are exactly what you’d expect for the price point, but they’re spotlessly clean and the beds are actually comfortable. I mean, I’ve slept terribly at places that cost twice as much, so that’s saying something. The bathrooms are a decent size too – not cramped like some places where you’re practically sitting in the shower. One small thing that stuck with me: they provide these little welcome bottles of local fruit juice, which is such a nice touch that costs them almost nothing but makes you feel looked after. You’ll find the whole place has that kind of attention to small details that suggests someone who actually cares is running things. With an 8.7 rating from other travelers, I’m clearly not the only one who feels this way. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, and that honesty is refreshing – sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable place to sleep without all the bells and whistles that jack up the price.

  An Amazing oasis if you look for a quiet place! The pool is great to unwind if you don’t want to go to a beach. To the beach it’s about 5 km. The staff were all very nice and helpful.

  It is one of the best places my family and I stayed during our long journey in Thailand. The staff are very nice and polite, and the rooms are very clean. The resort is located in a very quiet place. Amazingly, the resort is associated with one of the best diving clubs in Phuket, Sea Bees. They have gardeners working in the yard from early morning to evening, so the garden and the pool are very clean and well-designed.
