Navatara Phuket Resort – SHA Extra Plus Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Navatara Phuket Resort – SHA Extra Plus, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name’s a bit of a mouthful with that SHA certification tagged on (it’s their health and safety protocol thing, by the way), but once you get past that, this place actually surprised me in the best way possible.
What struck me immediately was how this four-star property manages to feel both polished and relaxed at the same time. You know what I mean? It’s not trying too hard to be fancy, but everything just works. The lobby has this open-air design that lets the tropical breeze flow through naturally – honestly, you barely need air conditioning during the day. I spent my first afternoon just wandering around the grounds, and there’s something really thoughtful about how they’ve laid everything out. The pool area doesn’t feel cramped even when it’s busy, and they’ve got these little nooks where you can actually find some quiet if you need it. The staff seems genuinely happy to be there too, which makes a huge difference – I mean, you can always tell when people are just going through the motions versus when they actually care about your experience.
Here’s the thing about staying in Phuket – location matters more than you might think, and this resort gets it right. You’re not stuck in some isolated bubble where you need to take expensive transfers everywhere, but you’re also not dealing with the chaos of the main tourist strips. The shuttle service they run is actually reliable (I was skeptical at first), and when you do venture out, you’re close enough to the good local spots without being right in the middle of the madness. The rooms themselves are solid – nothing revolutionary, but the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms have proper water pressure, and there’s enough storage space for all your beach gear. I particularly appreciated that they’ve got those blackout curtains that actually block light, because let’s face it, sometimes you need to sleep in after a late night exploring the local scene. The 9.2 rating this place has makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not perfect, but it delivers on what matters most: comfortable accommodations, friendly service, and that relaxed tropical vibe that makes you remember why you came to Thailand in the first place. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like a proper resort experience without the pretentious attitude, this is definitely worth considering.

I already miss Navatara and wish I could stay there for longer! It's tucked away in the quiet and local neighborhood of Yanui, with some lovely beaches nearby and loads of shops and restaurants within minutes reach. I had such amazing Thai food and massages in the area. It's right next to Rawai beach where you can hire long tail boats too. The resort itself feels intimate, with clean, spacious rooms and comfy beds. I felt such peace and tranquility there and slept so well, which was exactly what I needed after my long journey to Thailand!

The staff were lovely and accommodating. Very polite and efficient. The hotel was clean and our room was beautiful. The bed was super comfy and the pillows were great.
Our room led directly into the pool and the water was clean and refreshing. The pool is open 24 hours with a 9pm noise curfew which was respected by all. There was also security overnight.
We ordered room service a few times and they were lovely.
The cleaner was considerate and amazing. Super friendly and helpful.
There is a 7 11 shop next door which was very convenient and we could walk into Rawai from the hotel.
The hotel is quiet and not in the busy part. Only a 5 min walk down to the boats, beach, restaurants etc.
Overall, a beautiful hotel with lovely staff. I would definitely stay again.Margaret from United States (9/10)
