I rented a scooter (which the hotel helped arrange), and you can get to the main beaches in about fifteen minutes, maybe twenty with traffic. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet – mostly residential with a few local shops and restaurants within walking distance. Fair warning: it’s not a party zone, so if you’re looking for non-stop nightlife right outside your door, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a peaceful base where you can actually sleep at night and then venture out during the day, it’s perfect. The 8.7 rating this place has earned makes complete sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest resort on the island, but it does everything it promises to do really well, and at the end of the day, that’s what matters most when you’re trying to enjoy a vacation.
