Nai Yang Beach Resort and Spa Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Nai Yang Beach Resort and Spa, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a fairly standard beachfront property. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you without trying too hard. This four-star resort sits right on Nai Yang Beach — and I mean literally steps from the sand — which already puts it ahead of half the hotels in Phuket that claim to be “beachfront” but actually require a shuttle ride to see water.
The Location Sweet Spot
Here’s what I love about Nai Yang — it’s close enough to the airport that you’re not spending your first day in transit (maybe 10 minutes by car), but far enough that you don’t hear planes constantly. The beach itself is this gorgeous stretch of golden sand with casuarina trees providing natural shade, and it’s way less crowded than Patong or Kata. I actually watched local fishermen bringing in their catch in the early morning, which felt pretty authentic. There’s a small village nearby with some solid local restaurant options if you want to venture beyond the resort, though honestly, you might not need to.
Rooms That Actually Work
My room was in one of the low-rise buildings — nothing fancy architecturally, but the layout made sense and everything felt clean and well-maintained. The air conditioning worked properly (crucial in Thailand’s heat), and I had a decent view of the gardens from my balcony. The bathroom was spacious enough, though the shower pressure could’ve been stronger. What I appreciated was that the room actually stayed cool and quiet, even during the day when the sun was beating down outside.
Food and Relaxation
The breakfast buffet is solid — not mind-blowing, but it covers all the bases with both Western and Thai options. I mean, you’ve got your standard eggs and toast, but also some decent pad thai and fresh tropical fruit that’s actually ripe. The resort’s spa is where things get interesting though. I booked a traditional Thai massage and it was genuinely good — not just some tourist version, but the real deal that left me feeling like I’d been properly worked over (in the best way). They’ve got a golf course within a couple miles if that’s your thing, though I stuck to the beach and pool.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the fanciest resort you’ll find in Thailand, but it gets the fundamentals right. The location really is excellent — couples especially seem to appreciate how peaceful Nai Yang Beach is compared to the more touristy areas. You can walk for miles along the shore without fighting crowds, and there’s decent parking if you rent a car to explore other parts of Phuket. The staff is genuinely helpful without being overly formal, and the whole place has this relaxed vibe that makes it easy to actually unwind. It’s the kind of place where you can have a proper beach vacation without the chaos that comes with some of the bigger resort areas.

The staff were friendly, it’s in a good location on the beach, there’s shops, food markets and money exchange right outside.
There’s a massage place next door called “Thai massage” it was the most professional massage place I went to whilst I was in Thailand. I went 3 times in the 2 days I stayed.
The pool was nice- however I didn’t use it as the beach was just outside.
The room was really nice. Our flights also got cancelled and we were able to rebook the room without any issues. Staff organised a transfer to the airport for a reasonable price. Overall it was good.
This was a really good hotel for 1/2 nights before you fly home as it was 15 minutes from the airport.Marit from Estonia (9/10)
