Nai Yang Beach Resort and Spa Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Nai Yang Beach Resort and Spa, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard beachfront property. But you know what? Sometimes the places that don’t try too hard to impress you end up being the most pleasant surprises.
This four-star spot sits right on Nai Yang Beach, which is honestly one of Phuket’s better-kept secrets. While everyone’s crowding into Patong and Kata, you’re getting this gorgeous stretch of sand that’s mainly locals and the occasional plane spotter (the airport’s nearby, but trust me, it’s more entertaining than annoying – especially for kids). The resort actually takes advantage of its location really well – the beachfront rooms have these wide balconies where you can watch the longtail boats come and go, and there’s something genuinely relaxing about the whole setup. The spa is solid too, though I’d recommend booking treatments in the late afternoon when the ocean breeze picks up.
What I really appreciated was how un-touristy the whole area feels. There’s a proper local market just a short walk down the beach road where you can grab fresh fruit and actual Thai prices, not resort markup. The hotel restaurant serves decent food – nothing groundbreaking, but their tom yum actually has some heat to it, and the breakfast spread includes both Western stuff and proper Thai dishes. The pool area gets pretty busy during peak season (November through February), but honestly, with the beach literally right there, I spent most of my time on the sand anyway. The staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions, which you don’t always get at places in this price range. My only real complaint would be that some of the rooms could use a refresh – the furniture’s showing its age a bit – but everything’s clean and functional. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels more like a beach retreat than a tourist factory, and you don’t mind being a bit removed from the main Phuket party scene, this place delivers on what it promises.

The staff were friendly, it’s in a good location on the beach, there’s shops, food markets and money exchange right outside.
There’s a massage place next door called “Thai massage” it was the most professional massage place I went to whilst I was in Thailand. I went 3 times in the 2 days I stayed.
The pool was nice- however I didn’t use it as the beach was just outside.
The room was really nice. Our flights also got cancelled and we were able to rebook the room without any issues. Staff organised a transfer to the airport for a reasonable price. Overall it was good.
This was a really good hotel for 1/2 nights before you fly home as it was 15 minutes from the airport.Marit from Estonia (9/10)
