Check-in was smooth, and they knew the area well enough to give me solid recommendations for local spots that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. The rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works properly (which honestly matters more than marble countertops when you’re trying to shower after a long day). The air conditioning is solid – crucial in this climate – and the beds are actually decent quality, not the rock-hard mattresses you sometimes get at properties in this price range.

The location is where this place really shines, though. Cherngtalay puts you close enough to the action in Phuket without being right in the thick of the chaos. You’re about a 10-minute ride to some fantastic local restaurants and night markets that most tourists never find, and the beach access is way better than what you’d expect. I mean, you’re not oceanfront, but getting to the water is easy and the crowds thin out considerably once you know where to walk. Parking was never an issue – there’s always space, which anyone who’s driven around Phuket during high season will appreciate. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet at night too, so if you’re looking to actually sleep rather than party until dawn, this works well. What impressed me most was the little details – they keep the common areas genuinely clean, the WiFi actually works reliably throughout the property, and there’s usually someone around who speaks decent English if you need help with anything. It’s not going to blow your mind or end up on Instagram, but for the price point, MYP Cherngtalay delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises.

Hotel in Phuket booking should be done early, especially during high season when the island hosts internationally celebrated beach parties and cultural festivals at Patong Beach and other iconic locations.

  Nous avions une chambre triple avec 3 lits simples très confortables. Il y a un très grand placard avec beaucoup de rangements et un espace « kitchenette » avec bouilloire et micro-ondes. L’ensemble est très propre. Le check-in se fait dans la pharmacie voisine ou l’accueil est agréable.
  Nous avons pu y laisser nos bagages à chaque fois ce qui est bien pratique
  Le tarif reste compétitif.
