I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name My Home, I was skeptical. It sounded like one of those generic budget places that tries too hard to seem cozy. But you know what? Sometimes the simplest names actually mean something, and this three-star spot really does nail that “home away from home” feeling without being cheesy about it.

The thing that struck me right away was how the staff genuinely seemed to care – not in that overly rehearsed hotel way, but more like they actually wanted you to feel settled. My room was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything worked properly (which honestly matters more than marble countertops when you’re trying to get ready in the morning). The bed was surprisingly good for a mid-range place, and I’m pretty picky about that stuff. The bathroom had decent water pressure too, which… well, if you’ve stayed in enough hotels, you know that’s not always a given.

What really won me over, though, was the breakfast situation. They don’t do some massive buffet spread, but what they offer is actually fresh and tasty – real coffee, not that watery stuff, and they change up the pastries daily. I ended up chatting with other guests most mornings, which doesn’t usually happen at bigger chain places where everyone’s rushing around. The common areas have this lived-in comfort that makes you want to hang out with a book or just people-watch. There’s free wifi throughout that actually works well, and they have these little touches like local maps with handwritten notes about good restaurants nearby – the kind of insider tips you’d get from staying with a friend who knows the area. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you spend a night or two there; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, just doing the fundamentals really well with genuine warmth.

  One of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. The room service did such a good job. 3- or 4-minute walk to all the action. Down a very quiet alley so no noise at all.

  We appreciated the quiet surroundings, but an easy walk to the lively area near Patong Beach. The room that we stayed was very spacious, feel like at home! The air-cond. works very well and there are also 2 standing fans in the room! The room is very new and clean! Washing machine in the room is a big plus for hot Phuket! The host Choi is very friendly and helpful!

  I like the location very much. Room is fantastic, with small kitchen. New furniture, cleaning and renewing the bed sheets and towels every day. The host Choi is very hospitable and always ready to help. I felt really like in My Home!!!
