I actually slept better here than at some fancier places where the mattresses feel like concrete slabs.

What I really liked about this place is its authenticity. You’re not stuck in some sterile resort bubble – there’s a great little night market about a ten-minute walk away where locals actually eat, and the hotel’s location gives you easy access to both the beach scene and the more cultural parts of the island. The pool area is small but never felt crowded when I was there, and it’s got this nice quiet corner where you can actually read a book without someone’s bluetooth speaker blasting nearby. Honestly, the breakfast isn’t going to win any awards, but it’s decent – fresh fruit, some Thai options alongside the standard eggs and toast situation. I noticed they keep things pretty clean and well-maintained throughout the property, which says a lot about management actually caring about the details. The WiFi worked fine in my room (always a gamble in Thailand), and there’s decent parking if you’re planning to rent a scooter to explore. Look, this isn’t a luxury resort, but sometimes you just want a solid, honest place to crash that doesn’t break the bank or treat you like a walking ATM. If you’re the type who spends most of your time out exploring anyway, Montree Phuket delivers exactly what it promises – no more, no less.

  Everything was perfect!
  The team from Reception, Restaurant and Housekeeping were super friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food was delicious and decently priced.
  The hotel provides a self service laundry room with new equipment which works with coins and in there you can also get free drinking water (apart from the bottles they leave in your room).
  The room was really comfortable and that bed was the best one so far in my trips.
