Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Modern Condo at Diamond Resort, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It sounds a bit generic, you know? But after spending a few nights there, I can tell you this four-star property really surprised me in the best way possible.

What struck me right away was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between hotel service and apartment-style living. I mean, you get the space and privacy of having your own condo – we’re talking full kitchens with decent appliances, separate living areas where you can actually spread out, and bedrooms that don’t feel like afterthoughts. But you’re still getting daily housekeeping (which, honestly, is a game-changer when you’re on vacation), and there’s always someone at the front desk when you need them. The whole setup feels less like you’re staying in someone else’s space and more like you’ve got a temporary home base.

The resort facilities are actually pretty solid too – the pool area gets busy around mid-morning but quiets down nicely in the late afternoon, which is when I preferred to grab a spot anyway. Parking was never an issue, and I appreciated that they don’t charge extra for it like so many places do these days. The units themselves feel genuinely modern without being sterile – good lighting, comfortable furniture that doesn’t look like it came from a catalog, and those little touches like USB outlets near the bed that show someone was actually thinking about how people live now. I did notice some road noise early in the morning depending on which side of the building you’re on, but nothing that would keep you up at night. The 9.0 rating this place has earned makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s one of those spots where everything just works the way it should, and you find yourself already planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

  Raquel’s condo is separately rented from the diamond resort but allows you to use the gym, pool, shuttle, restaurant and all other facilities at the resort. The location is perfect if you’d like to stay close to the beach (8min walk) and not too far from the town (15 min walk)
  The place was very clean and well equipped. We would definitely stay there again next time we come to Laguna!
