Meir Jarr Hotel Patong Overview
Look, I’ll be straight with you about Meir Jarr Hotel Patong – it’s one of those places that surprised me in the best way possible. When I first pulled up to this four-star spot, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds in Patong are the ones that don’t scream for attention from the street.
The thing that really got me was how quiet it actually is once you’re inside. I mean, we’re talking about Patong here – the place never truly sleeps, and you’ve got tuk-tuks honking at all hours just a few blocks away near Bangla Road. But somehow this place manages to create this little bubble of calm. The rooms are solid – nothing fancy, but they’ve got good air conditioning (trust me, you’ll appreciate this in Thai heat), decent WiFi that actually works when you need to upload those beach photos, and the beds are comfortable enough that I slept through my first morning alarm. The bathrooms are clean and modern, though I’d say the water pressure could be stronger if you’re used to really powerful showers.
What I really appreciated was the staff’s approach – they’re helpful without being pushy, which is refreshing when you’ve been dealing with overly aggressive street vendors all day. The front desk guys actually knew the local bus schedules and could tell you which songthaew routes to take to get to the quieter beaches up north, stuff you won’t find in your guidebook. There’s a small pool area that’s perfect for cooling off in the afternoon heat, and while it’s not Instagram-worthy huge, it does the job when you need a break from the sand and salt. The location puts you close enough to all the Patong action – you can walk to the main beach area in about ten minutes, and the night market is practically around the corner – but far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant noise and chaos when you want to decompress. Parking can be a bit tight if you rent a scooter, but there’s usually space if you’re not too picky about squeezing into spots. Honestly, for what you pay and considering it’s Patong (where decent accommodation can get pricey fast), this place delivers solid value without any major headaches.

Reviews of Meir Jarr Hotel Patong
Jongchan from South Korea (8/10)
The staff was friendly and sociable and greeted customers.
The shower room was a bit small, but the water pressure was satisfactory.
The pool seemed to need some repairs, but the view was perfect enough to make the shortcomings not noticeable.
I wish the rooftop bar had extended its operating hours a bit more.
But overall, it was a place I would like to stay again.Nikki from South Africa (8/10)
The rooftop pool was the best feature. Beautiful views and spacious pool. The new loungers were very comfortable and there was plenty of outdoor furniture on the rooftop for guests. The room itself was pleasant and clean.
