The residence itself feels more like staying in a really well-maintained apartment complex than a typical hotel, which I actually loved. The rooms are spacious – bigger than you’d expect for the price point – and each one has this little kitchenette that saved us a fortune on meals. I spent most mornings making coffee and eating fresh fruit from the local market while watching the sunrise from our balcony. The staff here really knows their stuff too; they pointed us toward this incredible local seafood place about ten minutes down the road that we never would’ve found otherwise. Check-in was surprisingly smooth, though I’d recommend arriving before 6 PM since the front desk gets pretty quiet after that.

What really sold me on this place was how it strikes that perfect balance between being close to everything but far enough away from the chaos. You’re maybe a 15-minute drive from the airport (which sounds annoying but is actually convenient), and the beach right in front is this gorgeous stretch of sand that never gets too crowded. The pool area is nothing fancy, but it’s clean and peaceful – perfect for those afternoon moments when the beach gets a bit too hot. I’ll be honest, the Wi-Fi can be spotty in some rooms, and the air conditioning is a bit loud, but for what you’re paying, these feel like pretty minor trade-offs. The whole vibe here is just… relaxed, you know? It’s the kind of place where you can genuinely unwind without feeling like you’re missing out on anything important.

  Calm environment, not far from Maikhao beach, friendly and considerate staff. They allowed us to check in even in early morning. Cozy place with good facilities e.g. swimming pool, gym room. The room itself is quite spacious. Beach mats are also available to borrow.

  The Maikhao Beach Residence was at a convenient location in Phuket for us. It was within walking distance to great beaches and a very good restaurant. Loaner bikes were available to explore local neighborhoods. The hotel had a large pool that was well maintained. The staff was very helpful offering support for taxi service, massages, hotel amenities, and day trips.

  We arrived quite late after a long and delayed flight and had to leave early the next morning. The apartment was spacious and the host was extremely nice and helpful and the pool a real delight! Next time we will stay longer!

  The location is great if you're looking for a place to stay near the airport. We had been traveling throughout Thailand for 7 weeks and wanted a couple of days to repack, do some laundry and just chill. It was perfect for that. There is a washing machine on the property we were able to use which was awesome! Also, the staff is SO helpful!
