Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Mai Khao Beach Apartments, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes these unassuming spots end up being the real gems, and this one definitely surprised me in the best way possible.

The thing about Mai Khao is that it’s still got that authentic Phuket vibe that hasn’t been completely polished away by tourism yet. The apartments here are spread out in a way that actually feels residential – I mean, you’re not crammed into some massive resort tower with a hundred other rooms on your floor. My unit had this lived-in comfort that reminded me more of staying at a friend’s beach house than a typical hotel. The kitchen was genuinely functional too, not just some token mini-fridge situation, which honestly saved me a ton of money since eating out every meal in Phuket can get pricey fast. The air conditioning worked like a dream (crucial during those sticky April afternoons), and I loved how the windows actually opened – seems basic, but you’d be surprised how many places seal you in completely.

What really won me over was the location’s sweet spot factor. You’re far enough from the Patong madness that you can actually hear the waves at night instead of bar music, but close enough to the main road that getting a taxi or rental scooter to explore isn’t a hassle. The beach right here is massive and way less crowded – honestly, some mornings I had stretches of sand almost to myself, which felt pretty magical. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure everything worked properly, and when my shower was acting up on day two, they had someone fix it within an hour. I also appreciated that they didn’t hover or try to upsell me on tours constantly like some places do. There’s something to be said for that relaxed approach – it let me settle in and actually unwind instead of feeling like I was constantly being managed. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay, which mattered since I was trying to stay somewhat connected to work, and honestly, sitting on that little balcony answering emails with the ocean breeze wasn’t the worst office setup I’ve ever had.

  Nice place on the Mai Khao beach. 800 meters to the sea shore. Not far from the airport landing view. We had the view on the pool and jungle. There was a kitchen so you can cook breakfast or any meal you want in the apartment. The location was perfect, and very nice and helpful owner of the apartment he was always ready to help. Be ready to pay the 120 $ deposit after checking in, but if you will not break anything in the apartment , the owner will return all the money back.

  The property was spacious, clean and offered exactly what we needed, it was an ideal location for Circoloco festival which was only a 15 minute drive away. The apartment is also located within a 10 minute walk to Mai Khao beach which is just STUNNING. There are a handful of restaurants close by and also a 7/11.

  Clean room, pools were nice, near the Splash Jungle Water Park, the Mai Khao beach was somewhat nearby (in the heat it was a long walk, but the tuktuk taxis were affordable)

  Просторный номер, большой балкон. Под окнами бассейн, но в нем почти никто не купался, поэтому было нешумно. Комната выходит на запад, у горизонта видно идущие на посадку самолеты (шума нет). Пляж в 10 минутах, магазины и кафешки в шаговой доступности. С парковкой проблем нет. Хозяин быстро отвечает, всегда на связи.

  Расположение. До 7/11 пешком 3-5 минут, рядом с ним совсем недавно построили современную прачечную и мини-Lotus, где есть свежее мясо, фарш, курица, морепродукты, овощи, яйца – в общем всё самое необходимое. В километре севернее Лотуса по той же улице есть еще мини-Big C. Вдоль дорог все плотно застроено кафе, массажными салонами, лотками с фруктами и всем, что обычно предлагается по пути на пляж. Везде стараются говорить на русском, меню в кафе более чем адаптировано на русских туристов с детьми (борщ, пельмени, блины, пюре, свинина-гриль и многое другое по умеренным ценам). На территории объекта много бассейнов и лежаков – места хватало всем, огромная парковка для жителей и гостей и много пальм, спасающих от солнца. На балконе (7й этаж) практически не было насекомых и открывался "залипательный" вид на взлетно-посадочную полосу аэропорта Пхукет. До пляжа пешком минут 10, в сравнении с Патонгом море – чистейшее. По текущим вопросам хозяин неплохо общается на русском. Оперативно отвечает на вопросы в мессенджере. На Новый Год наши релоканты замутили для соотечественников вечеринку с русской кухней и развлекательной программой. На месте вам все подскажут другие отдыхающие из РФ.

  L’emplacement, le restaurant situé à 3mn un régal (Suzifin food and drinks) les piscines. Residence très calme et proche de la mer mais attention à la route vous y emmenant la nuit.
