That’s the kind of neighborhood vibe you get here. The four-star rating feels about right, though honestly, the attention to detail in some areas makes it feel more upscale than that. The kitchen, for instance, is actually functional – like, you could cook a proper meal if you wanted to, not just reheat leftovers in a sad little microwave.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to blend that residential feel with proper hotel amenities. The check-in process was smooth (there’s usually someone around, though I’d recommend calling ahead if you’re arriving super late), and the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the whole place – even in that back bedroom that seems like it should be a dead zone. The bathrooms have decent water pressure, which you can’t always count on in these older converted buildings. I will say the stairs can be a bit much if you’ve got heavy luggage, but it’s worth it for the quiet you get being off the street level. The parking situation is better than most places in this area – there’s a small lot behind the building, and I never had trouble finding a spot, even coming back late after dinner.
