Rawai is honestly one of Phuket’s best-kept secrets, and Le Villa Residence sits right in the sweet spot of this area. You’re about a 10-minute walk to Rawai Beach — not the most stunning beach on the island, I’ll admit, but it’s got this authentic local vibe that I really appreciate. The real gem is how close you are to Nai Harn Beach, which is absolutely gorgeous and just a short motorbike ride away. There’s also this little local market nearby where you can grab fresh seafood for practically nothing. The parking situation is refreshingly stress-free too — they’ve got private spots right on site, which is actually a big deal in this part of Phuket.

The Accommodation

My room was spacious and clean, with this modern Thai aesthetic that doesn’t feel overdone or touristy. The air conditioning works perfectly (trust me, you’ll need it), and the bathroom is well-designed with good water pressure. What I really liked was the little balcony — nothing fancy, but it’s nice to have your morning coffee outside. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the property, which matters if you’re trying to stay connected. One thing to note: the walls aren’t super thick, so you might hear your neighbors occasionally, but it wasn’t a major issue during my stay.

The swimming pool is definitely the centerpiece here — it’s not huge, but it’s well-maintained and gets good sun throughout the day. I spent quite a few afternoons there, and it never felt crowded. The pool area has some decent loungers, and there’s enough shade if you need a break from the Thai sun. While there isn’t a full-service restaurant on site, there are plenty of local eateries within walking distance. Actually, some of the best som tam I had in Phuket was from a little place just down the road.

The value is solid too; you’re getting a lot more space and privacy than you’d find at similarly priced hotels in the busier areas. I mean, when you can park for free, take a dip in your own pool, and still be close to some fantastic beaches, what more do you really need?
