I stayed in one of their pool access suites, and walking straight from your terrace into the lagoon-style pool – well, it’s one of those small luxuries that just makes everything feel effortless. The bathrooms are massive, with these deep soaking tubs that actually fit a full-sized human being (you’d be amazed how many fancy hotels miss this basic requirement). What really got me though was the attention to small details – like how the minibar is stocked with local snacks alongside the usual overpriced nuts, and the way they’ve positioned the desks so you can actually work while looking out at the gardens instead of staring at a wall. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the property too, which matters more than most people admit when they’re traveling.

Here’s the thing about Mai Khao Beach – it’s where the planes land at Phuket International Airport, so yes, you’ll see aircraft coming in overhead. But honestly? It’s kind of fascinating rather than annoying, and it only happens during certain parts of the day. The trade-off is that you get this incredibly long, wide beach that never feels crowded, with some of the best sunset views on the island. The resort’s infinity pool overlooks all of this, and I found myself spending way more time there than I’d planned, just watching the light change throughout the day. The spa is tucked into the gardens and feels genuinely peaceful – not like those spa factories you find at some of the mega-resorts. Staff here seem to actually enjoy their jobs, which creates this relaxed atmosphere that trickles down to everything else. If you’re looking for a place where you can completely disconnect without sacrificing comfort, and you don’t need to be in the middle of all the Patong chaos, this place delivers exactly what it promises.

  This has to be one of the best resorts I've stayed at, not because of the amenities and feature, which are exceptional , it is because of the exceptional service you get from the moment you arrive. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome part of their "family". It was so good that I canceled another resort my family was booked to go to and we returned for a second stay a week later. If you have children this resort caters to the every want. The size is not so big so you feel a sense of security and know your kids are not ro far away and safe. The food is next level, the breakfast buffet is amazing, the dinner watching the sunset is amazing. Thanks to Kin the F&B Manager that was a super host! We will return to our home away from Home

  What an incredible property and the most beautiful, professional and amazing staff. We had a couple issues when we arrived but they were all quickly resolved and we were looked after extremely well. Our kids loved this place so much and it will always have a special place in our hearts. Our itinerary was to move after 9 days but we missed le Méridien so much that we came back. The kind, warm kids club staff made us feel so happy knowing they were being looked after so well and our kids were always asking to go there. It’s best kids club around ! It is a perfect resort for parents and children. Food was amazing, extremely clean and we will definitely be returning every year !!
