You know what struck me first about Lalynn Resort & Villas, Phuket? The quiet. I mean, you’re still in Phuket, but somehow this place feels like it exists in its own little bubble away from all the typical tourist chaos. It’s tucked into this lush hillside setting where you actually hear birds in the morning instead of just scooter engines – which, honestly, is pretty rare around these parts.

This five-star property gets the villa concept right in a way that a lot of places don’t. The individual villas have enough space between them that you’re not accidentally eavesdropping on your neighbors’ conversations, and each one comes with its own private pool situation. I stayed in one of the larger villas and was surprised by how well-thought-out everything was – like, they actually have proper closet space (you’d be amazed how many luxury places skip this basic thing) and the outdoor shower setup doesn’t feel like you’re putting on a show for passing helicopters. The staff really knows their stuff too, especially when it comes to restaurant recommendations that aren’t just the usual tourist traps everyone ends up at.

What I particularly appreciated was how they handle the whole resort experience without making it feel overly managed or fake. The main pool area has this relaxed vibe during the day, but it doesn’t turn into some weird party scene at night – it just stays chill. The spa is actually worth booking (I’m usually skeptical about hotel spas), and they don’t try to upsell you on everything. Food-wise, their Thai restaurant surprised me – I mean, it’s hotel food, but they clearly have someone in the kitchen who knows what they’re doing with local flavors. The breakfast spread is solid without being overwhelming, and they make a decent coffee, which honestly makes or breaks my morning. Location-wise, you’re close enough to the action when you want it but far enough away that you can actually unwind. It takes maybe fifteen minutes to get to the main beach areas, and the hotel can arrange transport pretty easily. Just know that if you’re the type who likes to walk everywhere, you’ll be doing some planning ahead – but that’s kind of the trade-off for the peaceful setting.

  The property is immaculate , the bedrooms are very spacious along with a smart tv with Netflix and YouTube which was a great touch. and a really nice bathroom with a great shower, we had straight access to the pool from our room with great seating area

  Everything was amazing, couldn’t fault the place. Very relaxing and had every thing that we needed. Had breakfast included in our package, lunch and dinner available but at an extra cost. Also had a massage parlour and gym which were very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful.
