When I first pulled up to Lakshmi beach house in Rawai, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this four-star property tucked away in Moo 6. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones that surprise you. The moment I stepped out of my car — which, by the way, I could park right on-site for free — I could smell that distinct mix of sea salt and tropical flowers that tells you you’re somewhere special. The staff greeted me like I was visiting family, not checking into just another hotel.

Location & Neighborhood

Rawai isn’t your typical touristy beach area, and that’s actually what makes it perfect. You’re about a 10-minute walk from Rawai Beach, which locals prefer over the more crowded spots up north. I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.2 out of 10, they’re onto something. The neighborhood has this authentic Thai vibe — you’ll find local seafood markets, family-run restaurants, and those little convenience stores where the owners remember your face after the second visit. Phuket Town is close enough for day trips, but far enough that you escape the chaos.

The Accommodation

My room had this beachy, relaxed feel without trying too hard to be Instagram-perfect. The air conditioning worked like a dream — crucial in Thailand’s heat — and the bed was actually comfortable, not just hotel-decent. What I loved most was the little balcony where I could sit with my morning coffee and plan the day. The WiFi was solid throughout the property, which honestly saved me when I needed to handle some work emails. Storage space was generous too, so I could actually unpack and settle in properly.

Daily Experience

Mornings here have this peaceful rhythm that’s hard to find at busier resorts. The common areas never felt crowded, and there’s something to be said for a place where you can actually hear the birds chirping. The staff — and I can’t emphasize this enough — genuinely care about making your stay work. They helped me arrange a longtail boat trip that ended up being the highlight of my week. The property’s 9.5 rating makes sense when you experience this level of attention to detail.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Lakshmi beach house isn’t trying to be the flashiest place on the island, and that’s exactly why it works so well. You get that perfect balance of comfort and authenticity that’s becoming harder to find in Phuket. The free parking alone saves you hassle and money, but it’s really about the whole experience — waking up refreshed, exploring a genuine Thai neighborhood, and having a peaceful base to return to each evening. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about discovering this little gem together, away from the resort crowds but still close to everything that makes Phuket special.

  We stayed for 2 weeks. Excellent location being just a few metres from the beach and restaurants but quiet and private. The detached bungalow was very comfortable with 3 air con units, a well equipped basic kitchen, comfortable queen beds and delightful balcony to sit on and view the beach while listening to the waves.

  Our stay at Lakshmi Beach House in January was wonderful. Located right across from Yanui Beach and only a few steps from gorgeous local restaurants and bars. I am so happy that we stayed in this perfect part of Phuket and away from the really tourist/busy parts of Phuket. The beach was superb. Kayaking and snorkeling right at our front door.   So great to be so close to the beach. Nice atmosphere. It’s great to have kitchen facilities but there are no shops in the vicinity so bring things if you’re planning on doing any of your own catering!

  During our stay, my son suddenly showed some bad reviews. But we had nothing to complain about. The woman running the place was friendly and efficient.
  Paying electricity separately is a good practice as we don't use air-conditioning anyway.
  The places is spacious and clean.
  Yanui is one of the best snorkeling spots and kayaks are also available.
