La Vista Patong Hotel Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to La Vista Patong Hotel, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star place in the heart of Patong’s chaos. But you know what? Sometimes these unassuming spots end up surprising you in the best way possible.
The thing about this hotel is that it gets the basics really, really right. The lobby has this clean, minimalist vibe that immediately tells you they’re not trying to be something they’re not – and I actually respect that. The staff at check-in were genuinely friendly (not that rehearsed tourist-smile friendly), and they seemed to actually know the area well when I asked about getting around. What struck me most was how quiet it gets once you’re inside, which is honestly a small miracle considering you’re basically in the thick of Patong’s nightlife district. I mean, you can still hear the occasional motorbike or late-night reveler, but it’s not the constant din you’d expect.
The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully simple – nothing fancy, but everything works and it’s spotlessly clean. The air conditioning is actually powerful (trust me, this matters in Thailand), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable for a mid-range place. I loved that they have those heavy curtains that block out the morning sun completely, which is perfect if you’ve been out exploring Patong’s famous nighttime scene. The bathroom situation is solid too – good water pressure and it stays hot, which can be hit or miss in this price range. What really won me over was the little balcony in my room where I could sit with my morning coffee and watch the organized chaos of the street below. There’s something oddly soothing about watching the vendors set up their stalls while you’re still in your pajamas.
Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned to walk to Bangla Road in about five minutes, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. The beach is maybe a ten-minute stroll, and there are plenty of those little family-run restaurants nearby where you can get amazing pad thai for basically nothing. I actually ended up eating at this tiny place around the corner three nights in a row – the kind of spot you’d never find if you weren’t staying right in the neighborhood. The hotel doesn’t have a pool or fancy amenities, but honestly, when you’re steps from one of Thailand’s most famous beaches, who needs a pool? Plus, that 8.1 rating makes total sense once you stay here – it’s not trying to be luxurious, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. For the price point and the location, it’s one of those places where you end up getting more value than you expected.

The property was in a good location, close to Bangla road but far away enough to be away from the noise. The room was nice with a very large comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was good.
The rooftop factualities exceeded our expectations, the bar opened at 5pm so we had cocktails up there a few nights of our stay. The spa was large and very clean. Would 100% recommend checking it out when you’re here.
The hotel had a restaurant downstairs, we had dinner one night (on the rooftop) and the food was really nice. Would also recommend.Maroua from India (8/10)
