So I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Kora Beach Resort Phuket, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Another beachfront property in Phuket, you know? But this five-star place actually surprised me in ways I didn’t see coming. The moment you walk through those doors, there’s this immediate sense of calm that washes over you – and I mean that literally, because they’ve got these water features running throughout the lobby that somehow manage to drown out the usual tourist chaos from the street.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to feel both luxurious and genuinely Thai at the same time. A lot of resorts here go overboard trying to impress international guests, but Kora strikes this perfect balance where you’re clearly in Thailand without feeling like you’re staying in a theme park version of it. The staff – and this might sound small but it matters – actually remember your name after the first day, which honestly doesn’t happen as much as you’d think at places like this. The pool area is where you’ll probably spend most of your time, and here’s the thing: it’s designed so even when the resort is busy, it never feels crowded. They’ve got these little alcoves and infinity edges that make you feel like you’ve found your own private corner, even during peak season.

The rooms are spacious in that way where you can actually unpack everything without playing Tetris with your luggage, and the balconies – well, most of them anyway – give you either ocean or garden views that are actually worth waking up early for. I mean, I’m not usually a sunrise person, but the way the light hits the water from these rooms around 6:30 AM is pretty spectacular. The restaurant situation is solid too, though I’d still recommend venturing out to some of the local spots down the beach for dinner at least once – there’s this little seafood place about a ten-minute walk south that the concierge mentioned, and it’s become one of my favorite discoveries. The resort’s breakfast spread is impressive enough that you won’t need lunch until well into the afternoon, which worked perfectly for my lazy beach schedule. One small thing that stood out: they’ve got this attention to detail with things like towel service by the pool and keeping the beach chairs clean that you don’t always see, even at other high-end places. It’s the kind of place where you can tell someone’s actually thinking about the guest experience rather than just checking boxes.

  The hotel is conveniently located close to the beach, which was great. The beach is quiet and super nice. It was really nice to have a pool right outside the balcony. The staff was very friendly. This will probably be a good hotel – when done.

  Nice and new hotel in Phuket, we thought we give it a try as it was a last minute decision to go to Phuket, their rates were good and we like the Bangtao area.
  When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly staff which took us straight to the room and did the check in in our room which was very nice. The hotel is big and we book a pool view room but we could see the sea from our terrace. The room was very well appointed, the bed was so comfortable and the sheets were pure cotton which is definitely a plus for me. They are very near the beach and we got into a routine of walking on the beach early and then go to breakfast.
  The staff is very nice and the service is very good. I recommend it for the location and the surroundings.
