The rooms are clean and comfortable – nothing fancy, but the beds are decent and the air conditioning works properly, which honestly matters more than thread count when you’re dealing with tropical heat. What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night; you’d think being near the ocean means constant waves, but there’s this peaceful lull that actually helps you sleep better than those white noise machines at home.

The location really works in your favor here. You’re close enough to the main Kata Beach action that you can walk to the good restaurants and beach spots, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the party crowd stumbling past your window at 2 AM. I spent a few evenings just wandering the nearby streets – there’s this little local market about five minutes away where vendors sell the most incredible mango sticky rice, and the woman who runs the fruit stand there remembered my order by the third day. That’s the kind of neighborhood feel you get around here. The staff at the hotel are genuinely helpful too, not in that scripted hospitality way, but more like locals who actually want you to enjoy the area. They pointed me toward this seafood place that’s definitely not in any guidebooks but serves the best tom yum I had during my entire trip. Sure, the hotel itself doesn’t have a restaurant or pool – you’ll need to venture out for meals and use the beach or local facilities for swimming – but sometimes that’s exactly what makes a trip memorable. You end up exploring more, talking to more people, actually experiencing the place instead of hiding in resort bubbles.

  The apartment was great, spacious and equipped with everything you would require.
  Large living area with a kitchen washing machine, fridge, the bedrooms were a good size too, had a lovely view of the big Buddah, the balcony was large.
  There is a local shop on the door step selling everything you would require from drinks, snacks, car and bike rental and taxi services. They were a lovely family running the store and so helpful I would recommend using the stores and helping the locals out.
  The concierge service was great they had us in a what's app group and we would get responses straight away for anything we would require from hotel drop off, island tours, car rentals.
  I would rebook again however the location was a bit of an issue nothing wrong with the room or service we got from the concierge.
