Actually, there’s this amazing som tam lady who sets up her cart just down the street around 7 PM – locals know about her, but most tourists walk right past.

What really got me about this place was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about making things work for you. The check-in was smooth (no weird deposit drama like some places), and they actually remembered my name by day two, which – let’s be honest – doesn’t always happen at bigger resorts. The rooms are clean and functional without trying to be something they’re not. Sure, you’re not getting marble everything and infinity pools, but the AC works properly, the shower has decent pressure, and the beds are actually comfortable. I’ve stayed in plenty of supposedly fancier places where I couldn’t sleep because the mattress felt like a concrete slab. The pool area is pretty decent too – not huge, but big enough that you don’t feel like you’re swimming in someone’s backyard, and it gets good sun most of the day. There’s usually a nice breeze in the afternoons that makes it perfect for just floating around with a beer. Speaking of which, they don’t gouge you on drinks like some places do, which is refreshing when you’re trying to stick to a reasonable budget. You’ll find this place fills up with a mix of couples and families, mostly Europeans and some Australians, so it’s got this relaxed international vibe without being too party-heavy. If you’re looking for something solid and unpretentious in Karon without breaking the bank, this is actually a pretty smart choice.

  Location being bang on the Beach with Nearby Local Souvenir Shops, Resturant. Seems to be an old hotel, yet maintenance have been superb. Breakfast spread was good, a mix more of English and some good Thai Food.

  Honestly, the price you pay for a 3 star was just above equal. It was nice, the breakfast was standard not continental but standard. Plus I love my ranges of cheeses nothing was available. There should have more hot food variances. However on a tight budget they did managed well.
