First Impressions

When I first pulled up to Kalim Beach House – Private Beach & Pool, I’ll be honest — it doesn’t scream “resort” from the street. But that’s actually part of its charm. This four-star property sits quietly on Phrabarami Road, and once you step inside, you realize you’ve found something pretty special. The whole place has this relaxed, almost residential feel that makes you forget you’re staying in one of Patong Beach‘s busiest areas.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about the location — you’re technically in Patong, but you’re tucked away in the Kalim area, which means you get the best of both worlds. The infamous Bangla Road nightlife is close enough when you want it (maybe a 10-minute ride), but far enough that you can actually sleep at night. The beach access is what really sets this place apart though. While everyone else is fighting for space on the main Patong stretch, you’ve got your own little slice of sand. I mean, it’s not huge, but it’s yours, and that makes all the difference.

The Room Experience

My room was spacious — honestly bigger than I expected for the price point. The pool views are nice, but if you can swing it, try for one of the units facing the water. The setup feels more like a vacation rental than a hotel room, which couples seem to really appreciate (and I can see why the ratings reflect that). There’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in, plus the air conditioning works like a dream — crucial in Phuket’s heat.

Food & Amenities

Breakfast here is surprisingly solid. They do the full spread — continental, English, Asian, American — so whatever you’re craving, they’ve probably got it covered. The restaurant area overlooks the pool, which makes morning coffee feel a bit more special. What really caught me off guard was the game room with the pool table. I ended up spending way more time there than planned, especially on that one rainy afternoon. Oh, and parking is free and right on-site, which saves you the headache of finding a spot in Patong.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t the fanciest place you’ll find in Phuket, but it delivers on what matters most — that private beach access and the pool area where you can actually relax. The 8.0 location score makes sense when you experience it firsthand. You’re close enough to everything but removed from the chaos. Couples especially seem to get it — there’s something about having your own little beach spot that just works for a romantic getaway. The staff keeps things running smoothly without being overly formal, and honestly, that laid-back vibe is exactly what you want when you’re trying to decompress in Thailand.

  Amazing weekend here for me and 14 other friends. Julia and her staff are great, we had awesome breakfasts and BBQ cooked by the chef. Highly recommended for big groups!

  Julia was really responsive to our queries.
  The villa itself was really comfortable, spacious and clean! Its also quite near to Patong. The beach view from the villa was amazing and the living room was the best place for all of us to hang out. We had some fun in the games/ pool room as well which was comfortable as well.
  
  The housekeepers were also very polite, responsive and helpful. Breakfasts were awesome, everything was prepared nicely and the food was good! We had a lil private beach where we hung out a couple of times too. Nice, quiet and private.
  
  If you're travelling in a big group, i would sure to recommend staying here. All in all, a really great experience.

  Julia responds very quickly to our enquiries and is super helpful! Location of the villa is very good with many dining options nearby. 5mins tuk tuk ride away from Patong. Friendly staffs were already waiting for us at the villa, taking us a tour on the property and explaining the facilities. Jean is a super cook, at our request, he can whip up anything as long there is ingredients! In villa bbq was really good and fun for our group. The property is big spacious and clean, we spent alot of time in the living room and the pool! Don't have to worry about daily meals, just tell the staff in advanced and they will do all the shopping and cooking for you! The view is really good from the villa, a very relaxing place, we wish had more time to spend there! We will be back!
