The name had me expecting something old and weathered – you know, like those copper roofs you see on historic buildings – but this four-star place is actually quite polished and contemporary. I mean, there’s still that sophisticated, slightly vintage charm in the design choices, but it’s done in a way that feels intentional rather than dated.

The lobby honestly feels like someone’s really well-appointed living room, if that someone happened to have impeccable taste and a serious budget. There’s this warm lighting that makes everything look softer in the evenings, and the staff – well, they actually seem to enjoy working there, which you can tell makes a difference in how they treat guests. Check-in was smooth, no weird upselling tactics or anything like that. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out too, with enough space that you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around. I particularly appreciated the blackout curtains (seriously underrated feature) and the fact that the AC actually works quietly – you’d be surprised how many places get that wrong.

What really sets this place apart though is the attention to those little details that most hotels completely overlook. The bathroom lighting is actually flattering, the wifi doesn’t mysteriously disappear every few hours, and housekeeping manages to clean thoroughly without rearranging all your stuff in bizarre ways. The building itself stays pretty quiet even when it’s busy – good soundproofing between rooms, which is honestly worth its weight in gold if you’re trying to get decent sleep. That 9.5 rating they’ve got? Yeah, I can see where that comes from. It’s not flashy or over-the-top, but everything just… works the way it should. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want from a hotel stay – no surprises, just solid comfort and service that doesn’t feel like they’re trying too hard. The whole experience feels genuine rather than manufactured, if that makes sense.

  This is an old world Thai hotel with fantastic services and beautiful facilities. I loved the soaking pool In the private atrium of my room. It was a surprise and absolutely a treat to soak while watching the koi in the pond.

  This is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Everything was thoughtfully and beautifully done. The architecture and design were impeccable, including the lighting. The level of detail was impressive and I found the atmosphere and service immensely relaxing. I took 2 books worth of images. It's a shame I can only add 4 here. Food? Locally sourced breakfast included and is Michelin guide level good. Also, very good coffee! Thanks to a wonderful staff as well and the beautiful koi who greeted me every day. I felt very well taken care of. A perfect last few days in Thailand. 🙏

  I loved everything about this place. Even the delicious cookies they leave on your tray. The breakfasts are amazing, the beds are comfortable, and the shower is amazing. It's also a quick walk to old phuket.

  The location is walkable to Old Town Phuket, the shops and restaurants. The staff went out of their way to make our trip special. They helped with navigation, restaurant choices, and the best places to see. The room was well organized, with a beautiful design. The evening tea was special. The pool and reading room gave us places to go to unwind after walking all day. Its size was perfect for us and exceptional. We will return.
