Horange Phuket Town Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Horange Phuket Town, you immediately notice how it stands out from the typical tourist hotels scattered around the island. This three-star property sits right on Phuket Road in the heart of the old town, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better. The building itself has this clean, modern vibe that feels refreshing after wandering through the historic streets — it’s like finding a perfect middle ground between contemporary comfort and local charm.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what really impressed me about staying here? The way Phuket Town comes alive right outside your door. I mean, you’re literally in the Talat Yai district where the real action happens — not the touristy beach stuff, but actual Thai life. Morning markets are a two-minute walk away, and those incredible Sino-Portuguese shophouses with their colorful facades are everywhere you look. Couples seem to absolutely love exploring this area together (they rate the location 9.0, which honestly makes perfect sense), and there’s something romantic about strolling these streets in the evening when the heat dies down.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious for a three-star place — clean lines, good air conditioning (crucial in this climate), and everything felt well-maintained. What I appreciated most was how quiet it stayed despite being in the middle of town. The beds are comfortable enough, and the bathroom actually has decent water pressure, which you can’t always count on in this part of Thailand. It’s not fancy, but it’s exactly what you need after a day of exploring.
Breakfast & Practical Perks
Breakfast here covers both Asian and American options, which works perfectly when you’re traveling with someone who might not be ready for pad thai at 7 AM. The Asian selection is definitely better — fresh tropical fruits, proper Thai-style rice porridge, and decent coffee. There’s also free parking available, which is actually a huge deal if you’re planning to rent a car and explore the island. Most places in old town charge for parking or don’t have it at all, so this saves you both money and the headache of finding a spot on these narrow streets.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Horange Phuket Town apart is how it gives you an authentic slice of Phuket without sacrificing comfort. You’re staying where locals actually live and work, not in some resort bubble. The 8.5 rating makes sense when you consider the combination of that unbeatable location, solid amenities, and the fact that you can walk to amazing local restaurant spots that most tourists never discover. It’s perfect for travelers who want to experience the real Phuket — the weekend markets, the old coffee shops, the temples tucked between modern buildings — while still having a comfortable, modern base to return to each night.
To book a hotel in Phuket during Songkran week, visitors balance Patong beach parties with Old Town shophouse cafés.

It’s recently opened so everything it’s quite new. The staff was very helpful and accommodative when we requested to change our room for one with bathtub (which is amazingly big).
The best of all was the bed, super comfortable.
The location is good, you can go by walking almost everywhere in Phuket town, and they have a coffee shop downstairs where you can chill.Daniela from Spain (7/10)

Great location in the old town of Phuket. 5 min walk from the nicest streets of Old Phuket and 10 min drive from the Rassada Pier where we took the boat to Krabi (alternatively you take there the boat to Phi Phi). The rooms are small, but bed was super comfortable and we could have a peaceful sleep. This is a good accommodation for a quick stop in Phuket.
