I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Homm Suites Laguna – a brand of Banyan Group, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone. But after spending a few nights there, I can tell you this four-star property really gets the suite concept right in ways that a lot of hotels just… don’t.

The thing that struck me immediately was how they’ve designed the spaces to actually feel like you’re living somewhere, not just crashing for a night. I mean, there’s a proper kitchenette that you’d actually want to use – not one of those sad mini-setups with a broken coffee maker. The living area flows naturally into the bedroom without feeling cramped, and honestly, the bathroom situation is pretty impressive too. You know what I really appreciated? They’ve got these little touches that show someone was thinking about how people actually travel – decent lighting for getting work done, enough outlets where you need them, and storage that makes sense when you’re unpacking for more than just a quick business trip.

What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail in the service. The staff here seems to genuinely care about making your stay work, which – let’s face it – isn’t always a given even at nice places. I had an issue with the air conditioning on my second night (nothing dramatic, just wouldn’t cool down properly), and they had someone up within fifteen minutes. Not the next day, not after I called three times – just handled it. The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and they actually remember your preferences after the first day or two. I also noticed they keep the common areas really well-maintained throughout the day, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many hotels let things slide between the morning and evening rush. The whole property has this relaxed but polished vibe that makes you want to hang out in the lobby with a coffee instead of just rushing through. With an 8.4 rating from guests, it’s clear I’m not the only one who appreciates how they balance comfort with genuine hospitality – it’s the kind of place where you feel like you made a smart choice rather than just booked whatever was available.

  Lovely fully furnished and serviced 2 bedroom suite. Great location. Part of Banyan Tree and Angsana Group so had access to great amenities. Staff were lovely. Property is a little dated and run down but that is part of its charm and why it is much cheaper than other comparable properties. Staff were lovely. Can catch the free shuttle to nearby places to eat, shop, visit the beach etc. lovely breakfast each day. We stayed for 9 days so obviously we ate a lot of the same thing but it was always fresh and delicious. Kids loved the donut selection each morning.

  The rooms were beautiful and we loved having a separate lounge area and kitchen, plus balcony.
  The staff were so helpful and friendly. Kids loved the pool slide, plus we were given passes to visit a sister-hotel and transport there and back.
  Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices.
