Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Grand Kamala Falls, I wasn’t expecting much from a four-star property with a name that sounds like it should be next to some epic waterfall (spoiler: there’s no actual waterfall nearby, though they do have this gorgeous multi-tiered fountain in the lobby that kind of makes up for it). But you know what? This place genuinely surprised me in the best way possible.

The thing that struck me right away was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between upscale and approachable – I mean, the lobby has these soaring ceilings with traditional carved wood details that make you feel like you’re somewhere special, but the staff actually talks to you like a human being instead of reciting scripts. The rooms are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, and honestly, the beds are fantastic. I’m talking about that perfect firmness where you sink in just enough but don’t feel like you’re being swallowed whole. The bathrooms have walk-in showers with rainfall heads that actually have decent water pressure – trust me, after staying at places where the shower feels like a gentle mist, you appreciate the little things.

What really won me over, though, was the attention to details that actually matter. The air conditioning works properly (and quietly – no rattling unit keeping you up at night), there’s plenty of electrical outlets so you’re not playing musical chairs with your chargers, and the Wi-Fi is legitimately fast throughout the property. The pool area is probably my favorite spot – it’s not huge, but it’s beautifully maintained with comfortable loungers that aren’t falling apart, and there’s enough shade if you’re not trying to get completely roasted. The restaurant serves solid food too, nothing revolutionary but definitely fresh and well-prepared, plus room service comes up hot and on time. I actually ended up eating there more than I planned because sometimes you just want good food without having to venture out and figure out where to go. The whole place has this relaxed energy where you feel like you can genuinely unwind – maybe it’s the way the common areas are laid out, or how the gardens are maintained, but there’s something peaceful about it that makes you want to slow down a bit.

Hotel in Phuket booking should be done early, especially during high season when the island hosts internationally celebrated beach parties and cultural festivals at Patong Beach and other iconic locations.

  The room is very clean and comfortable, and very well-lit. There is a swimming pool downstairs where you can swim, and it is not crowded. The room has kitchenware so you can cook your own meals. There is also a washing machine, refrigerator, and TV, which are very convenient and very quiet.
  
  You can park your car in the yard, the gate is nice and safe. If you live in a house with two rooms, it is very convenient if there are many people, and there won't be much interference from other people.

  Wir hatten kurzfristig umgebucht weil das vorherige Hotel eine Katastrophe war.
  Die Unterkunft mit dem direkten Poolzugang von der Terrasse aus war perfekt.
  Gehobene Ausstattung. Die Küche wurde vermutlich noch nie benutzt.
  Als Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen nach Phuket City aber auch in die andere Richtung, war gut. Ohne Roller oder Auto aber nicht zu empfehlen.
