When I first saw the name, I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical about staying in what’s essentially a residential building, but you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t scream “tourist hotel” from every corner.

The location in Phuket Town is actually perfect if you want to experience the real Thailand without completely sacrificing beach access. I mean, yes, it’s about 30 minutes to get to the popular beaches like Patong or Kata, but that distance is honestly a blessing. You’re away from all that tourist chaos, tucked into the authentic local scene where you can grab amazing street food for practically nothing and see how locals actually live. The building sits right in the heart of the old town area – you can walk to those gorgeous Sino-Portuguese shophouses and the weekend walking street market. There’s this little coffee shop about two blocks away that serves the best Thai iced coffee I’ve had, and the owner always remembers your order after the second visit.

What really impressed me about this three-star place was how they’ve managed to create something that feels more like a home than a hotel room. The apartments are spacious – actually spacious, not “spacious for Thailand” spacious – and you get a proper kitchen, which is incredibly handy when you want to cook up some of those fresh ingredients from the local market. The building itself is modern and clean, though it’s not trying to be fancy or anything. The elevator works (always a plus), and there’s decent air conditioning, which you’ll definitely need during the hot season. I stayed on the fourth floor and barely heard any street noise, which was surprising given how lively Phuket Town can get, especially on weekends when the locals come out to party.

The staff – well, they’re not really “hotel staff” in the traditional sense, more like helpful building management – are genuinely nice and actually live in the area, so they know where to send you for the good stuff. They pointed me toward this incredible dim sum place that I never would have found otherwise, and when my scooter rental fell through, they helped me sort it out without making it feel like a big production. That kind of authentic helpfulness you just don’t get at the big resort chains. Sure, you won’t find a concierge desk or daily housekeeping, but if you’re the type of traveler who prefers independence over being pampered, this setup works perfectly. Plus, with that 9.2 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks they’ve got something special going on here.

  Es war die beste Unterkunft während meines ganzen Reise in Thailand. Die Einrichtung ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber durchaus brauchbar und nicht bloss zum abhacken auf einer Liste.
  Sollten mich meine Wege wieder nach Phuket führe, werde ich versuchen hier nochmals zu buchen.
