Elephant bungalow at Ya Nui beach Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Elephant bungalow at Ya Nui beach? It’s actually way more charming than the name suggests – I mean, when I first heard “bungalow,” I was expecting something pretty basic, but this little three-star spot really surprised me. Ya Nui is one of those smaller beaches that most tourists completely miss (they’re all crowded onto Kata and Karon), which honestly works in your favor here. The bungalow sits right where you can hear the waves but not get completely sand-blasted when the wind picks up – and trust me, that positioning matters more than you’d think.
The room itself is simple but thoughtfully done, with this sort of rustic-meets-comfortable vibe that feels authentic without being uncomfortably spartan. I loved that they actually have decent water pressure in the shower (you’d be amazed how many beach places get this wrong), and the bed was surprisingly comfortable for what you’re paying. The whole setup feels like staying at a friend’s beach house rather than some sterile hotel room. What really sold me though was stepping out in the morning – Ya Nui beach is literally right there, and it’s this perfect little crescent of sand that hardly anyone knows about. You can actually swim here without dodging jet skis and tour boats, which is becoming increasingly rare in Phuket.
The staff genuinely seems to care about the place, which you can tell because they’ll point you toward the good local spots instead of just the tourist traps. They told me about this little path that cuts over to Windmill Viewpoint – saves you about twenty minutes of walking along the main road and the view is incredible, especially around sunset. Honestly, the whole area feels like old Phuket before everything got super commercialized. Sure, it’s not luxury – you’re not getting marble bathrooms or a spa – but that’s kind of the point. The place has this laid-back, unpretentious energy that makes you actually relax instead of feeling like you need to dress up for breakfast. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels real and gives you easy access to one of the island’s best-kept-secret beaches, this is exactly what you want. Just don’t tell too many people about it, yeah?

Reviews of Elephant bungalow at Ya Nui beach

The place looks exactly like the pictures and is spotlessly clean upon arrival. The host is very friendly, handles check-in quickly, and returns the deposit without any hassle.
We visited with friends and booked two bungalows—Rustic and Elephant. Both were amazing! The Rustic bungalow had a cozy sofa with plenty of cushions—perfect for relaxing—and the room itself was very spacious, giving it a comfortable and airy feel. The Elephant bungalow charmed us with its attention to detail: the wooden furniture, beautiful fabrics, and embroidery on the decor created a warm and unique atmosphere.
Both bungalows had an abundance of towels, which was incredibly convenient. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, mugs, and all the essentials, including a kettle and a toaster. The area is exceptionally quiet, especially at night, offering a peaceful atmosphere.
While it is quite far from the airport, this place is perfect if you're looking for a secluded and tranquil getaway for an extended stay.Massimiliano from Italy (8/10)
Our bungalow was nice and clean. Little kitchen with essentials. 30 seconds walk from a beautiful little rocky beach with 3 restaurants. At night its peacefully (restaurants close early ) no traffic. 5 min ride from shops and activities

Location is right opposite the beach, 150m to the water. Beach has good snorkeling, good varietyof sea life but no colourful coral. Large studio, good aircon but didn't need it much, used the fan, as bungalow is in the shade most if the day so doesn't heat up. Balcony with table and chairs, kitchenette with good fridge. Mosquito screening worked very well. Helpful host who gave us use of washing machine.

The property was a nice size and close to the beach and three local restaurants. You need transportation as it’s very quiet and secluded which is why we booked it it’s remote and peaceful no bars no clubs.
