I mean, I was expecting something maybe a bit quirky or architectural, but this four-star place is actually more about that laid-back tropical vibe that Phuket does so well. The moment you step into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense of calm – maybe it’s the way they’ve got the natural light filtering through, or how the staff genuinely seems happy to see you rather than just going through the motions.

The rooms are honestly better than I expected for the price point. Nothing too fancy, but everything works properly (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given around here), and the beds are actually comfortable – not too soft, not like sleeping on concrete. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re close enough to the action that you can easily get to the beaches and restaurants, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the party crowd stumbling around at 3 AM. The air conditioning doesn’t sound like a jet engine either, which is a small miracle. I’ve stayed at places where you have to choose between being cool or getting any sleep.

The pool area is where this place really shines, though. It’s not massive, but it’s got this perfect size where it feels social without being crowded. I spent way more time there than I planned, honestly – there’s something about the way they’ve positioned the loungers and the little swim-up bar that just works. The staff keeps things clean without being intrusive about it, and the drinks are reasonably priced (well, reasonable for a resort anyway). What really sold me was watching how they handled the families versus the couples – somehow everyone seemed to find their space without any drama. The location puts you about a ten-minute walk from some really decent local spots where you can get proper Thai food without the tourist markup, which the front desk folks will actually tell you about if you ask. They’re not trying to keep you trapped on property spending money, which I respect. With that 8.5 rating, you’re getting solid value – not luxury, but definitely comfort with some nice touches that show they’re paying attention to the details that matter.

  There is everything to like about this hotel. The front desk was manned 24/7 and extremely kind and friendly. Room service was also amazing as they would tidy up our things as well as make the bed. The price couldn’t be beat for the size and location of the room as KATA Beach area is still in the mix of everything but not as busy and hectic as Patong beach. It was all great and everything is a very short distance away.
