The check-in was smooth – none of that awkward hovering while they hunt for your reservation – and they actually remembered my name when I passed through the lobby later. The rooms have this clean, uncluttered feel without being sterile, if that makes sense. Good lighting for actually reading (why do so many hotels mess this up?), and the beds are properly firm without feeling like you’re sleeping on concrete. I mean, for someone who’s stayed in way too many places where the mattress feels like it’s been there since the 90s, this was refreshing. The bathrooms are well-designed too – decent water pressure and they don’t run out of hot water halfway through your shower.

The common areas have this relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger with a coffee rather than rush off to your room. There’s something about the way they’ve arranged the seating that encourages conversation without forcing it, which is actually pretty rare. Parking was straightforward – no circling the block three times or dealing with some complicated valet situation. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet in the evenings, so you’re not dealing with street noise keeping you up, but it’s not so isolated that you feel cut off from everything. Honestly, the attention to those smaller comfort details is what pushes this place into that higher rating territory. You can tell they’ve thought about what travelers actually need rather than just what looks good in photos. It’s the kind of place where you’d be comfortable bringing your parents or staying for a work trip – versatile in that way that really good hotels manage to pull off.
