The entrance feels refreshingly low-key — no massive marble lobby or overwhelming grandeur, just a welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. What struck me right away was how the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests arrive, not just going through the motions you get at some places.

The Pool Villa Experience

Here’s what makes this place special — each room is actually part of a pool villa setup, which means you’re not dealing with crowded hotel corridors or fighting for poolside chairs. I mean, having your own private space with pool access changes the whole dynamic of a beach vacation. The villas are spread out enough that you actually have privacy, something that’s getting harder to find in Phuket these days. You know what I loved? Being able to slip into the pool at any hour without worrying about disturbing anyone or following pool rules.

Location Perks

The location really works in your favor here — you’re close enough to Kamala Beach to walk there easily, but far enough from the main tourist strip to avoid the constant noise and crowds. I discovered that couples particularly love this setup (and honestly, I can see why), since you get that romantic seclusion without being completely isolated from everything. The free parking is actually a bigger deal than you might think, especially if you’re planning to rent a scooter or car to explore the island. Most places in this area charge for it or make you park way too far away.

Activities and Surroundings

What surprised me was how easy it became to organize activities right from the resort — they’ve got connections for fishing trips, diving excursions, and snorkeling tours that don’t feel like tourist traps. The staff actually knows the local operators personally, which means you’re getting better prices and more authentic experiences. I ended up going on a fishing trip that I never would have found on my own, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my stay. The diving spots they recommended were less crowded than the usual tourist destinations too.

Why Guests Love It

After spending time here, I get why this place consistently gets such high ratings from guests. It’s not trying to be the fanciest resort on the island — instead, it focuses on giving you exactly what you need for a relaxing beach vacation without the unnecessary frills that just drive up prices. The combination of privacy, genuine hospitality, and that perfect balance between accessibility and tranquility is surprisingly hard to find. You’ll leave feeling like you actually experienced Thailand, not just another generic resort stay that could have been anywhere in the world.

  We stayed at Villa Dalaa 8 for 10 nights in December and we enjoyed it so much. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Our favorite guy of the stay was Alam, he was there for us at any point of time. Alam is an invaluable gem to Dala Resort. The Villas are well maintained, clean, and equiped with good amenities. Location is also quite nice; beaches, shops and cities are just nearby. Thank You Dalaa Team and thank you especially to Alam who made sure we have everything we need.

  It was a family trip, but there were all rooms on one floor and there were many dishes, so I used it comfortably
  As shown in the picture, the depth of the swimming pool was deep and wide, so it was easy for my family to swim
  It was great to enjoy the vacation, especially when alam asked me about travel or recommendations for nearby tourist attractions, I was happy that they solved everything If I travel to Phuket next year, I will stay in dalaa

  Terrific option for a family of 2 adults and 3 children. Pool was a great size. Great service from our host Alam who catered to all our needs…. helping organise taxis to night markets, tips on best restaurants to visit, anything we needed.
