This five-star property sits in this interesting pocket where you get all the luxury you’d want but you’re also walking distance from the real Phuket – the Sunday night market on Thalang Road, those incredible Peranakan shophouses, and honestly some of the best local food I’ve had anywhere in Thailand.

The villas themselves are something else – they’ve got this contemporary Thai design that doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard, you know? My villa had this private pool that was actually private (not one of those where you can wave to your neighbors), and the outdoor shower situation was pretty spectacular. The staff here genuinely knows their stuff too, which matters more than people realize. When I mentioned I wanted to check out some of the street art around the old town, the concierge didn’t just point me toward Thalang Road – he actually sketched out this little walking route that hit all the best murals and ended at this tiny coffee shop that I never would’ve found otherwise. That’s the kind of local knowledge that makes a difference.

What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being right in town. You’d think with all the tuk-tuks and general buzz of Phuket Town you’d be dealing with noise, but the way they’ve designed the property, it’s like this calm bubble. The restaurant on-site is solid – I actually ate there three times, which is rare for me since I usually want to explore – but their take on southern Thai cuisine was worth staying put for. And here’s something practical: if you’re planning to do any of the cultural stuff (the temples, the museums, the weekend markets), staying here beats dealing with the drive from Patong or Kata every single day. Plus, you’ll actually see what Phuket life looks like when it’s not just about beaches and cocktails. The town has this energy in the evenings, especially around the old quarter, that you completely miss if you’re staying out by the coast.

  Love the pool direct access room, my little one didn’t want to leave! All staff were super friendly, they even helped us to organise a van to the airport with very last minute! Definitely highly recommend!

  Beautiful hotel, the pool is amazing! We had noisy neighbours on our second night and couldn’t sleep- when we told the hotel staff they very kindly upgraded us to a villa for our last night which was very much appreciated, we really enjoyed our stay. The location is about 10 minutes outside of old town but it’s not a problem with the free shuttle bus.

  I stayed at Craft Resort & Villas with my wife, and it exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly nice, always available 24/7, and genuinely happy to help. The food was great, no matter the time, and the swimming pool was simply amazing. Everything about the stay felt perfect.
  
  Despite that, I will definitely reserve at this hotel again in the future. Highly recommended for its exceptional service, great amenities, and wonderful atmosphere!
