It’s about a two-minute walk from the studio to the beach, which sounds standard until you realize you’re not fighting crowds to find a decent spot to sit. The water here isn’t the postcard-perfect turquoise you see at Patong – it’s more of a working bay – but that means it’s genuine, you know? Plus, if you want those Instagram-worthy beaches, you can hop on one of those longtails for 800 baht and be at Coral Island in fifteen minutes.

What really sold me on this place was the little details that make it feel less like a hotel room and more like borrowing a friend’s apartment. The kitchenette actually has proper plates and decent knives, not just the plastic stuff most places give you. There’s a small balcony where I ended up having my coffee most mornings, watching the soi dogs start their daily routines and listening to the temple bells from Wat Rawai – honestly, better than any alarm clock. The bed is firm in that good Asian way, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, which trust me, matters when you’re trying to sleep off jet lag. The only thing I’d mention is that the walls aren’t super thick, so you might hear your neighbors if they’re having a particularly animated phone call, but it never bothered me much. Location-wise, you’re close enough to Nai Harn Beach (maybe ten minutes by scooter) when you want that perfect sand, and Chalong Pier is right there when you’re ready for island hopping or those big boat tours. It’s one of those places where you end up staying longer than planned because it just works.

  the host was very accomodating and he allowed us to check in the room early than check in time. to claim the key was very easy. he offered to send the maid to clean the room however we were happy with how it was and he respected our privacy. we requested for more towels and that was provided by him. the best part is the room is part of the rawai beach hotel and has its own parking space, a beautiful pool and a lovely beach bar and a few mins walk from the scooter rental. and a minimart near by and 7/11 isnt too far too. all the meployees of the hotel are kind and hospitable. i would come back again.
