I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Coral Inn, I wasn’t expecting much from this three-star place. You know how it is with mid-range hotels, they can really go either way. But honestly? This little gem surprised me in all the right ways.

What struck me immediately was how the staff actually seemed to care about what they were doing. The front desk clerk (I think her name was Maria) took the time to explain the local bus routes without me even asking, and she had this genuine smile that you just can’t fake. The lobby’s nothing fancy – think comfortable couches that have seen some years but are still inviting, and there’s this subtle coral theme throughout that’s tasteful without being overwhelming. I mean, at least they committed to their name, right? The whole place has this relaxed, unpretentious vibe that made me feel like I could actually unwind instead of worrying about whether I was fancy enough to be there.

The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully simple” – everything you need without unnecessary clutter. My room faced the street side, and while there was some traffic noise during rush hour, it wasn’t the kind that keeps you up at night. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the shower had excellent water pressure, which honestly matters more to me than marble countertops. What I really appreciated were the little touches – decent coffee maker, enough outlets near the bed for all your devices, and blackout curtains that actually work. The air conditioning was quiet too, which is something you don’t always get at this price point. Housekeeping did a solid job throughout my stay, and they didn’t bother you early in the morning like some places do.

You know what really won me over though? It’s the kind of place where you can grab the front desk person and ask about the best local taco spot, and they’ll give you directions to where they actually eat, not just the tourist traps. The location puts you close enough to the main attractions without being in the thick of all the chaos and inflated prices. There’s decent parking (not free, but reasonable), and I felt safe walking around the neighborhood even after dark. Look, this isn’t going to be your Instagram-worthy luxury experience, but sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable place where the WiFi works and nobody’s trying to nickle and dime you for every little thing. For what you pay, Coral Inn delivers exactly what it promises – and in my experience, that’s actually pretty rare these days.

  The location is great, near the beach and the main street of shops and restaurants. The room was nice decorated, with everything you needed, and very clean.
