Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Clear House Resort – SHA Extra Plus, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from a three-star place with such a clinical-sounding name. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come from hotels that don’t try too hard to oversell themselves. This place actually gets the fundamentals right in ways that a lot of flashier resorts completely miss.

The whole SHA Extra Plus certification thing might sound like marketing speak, but it’s actually legit – they’ve got their health and safety protocols down to a science without making you feel like you’re staying in a hospital. I mean, the lobby has this clean, almost minimalist vibe that initially struck me as a bit sterile, but after a day or two, I started appreciating how uncluttered and calm everything felt. The staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing, which honestly made check-in smoother than some five-star places I’ve stayed at where everyone’s too busy looking important to actually help you.

What really won me over was the attention to detail in the rooms – not fancy stuff, but practical touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need. The shower pressure is excellent (trust me, this matters more than thread count), there’s plenty of outlets near the bed, and the air conditioning is whisper quiet. The pool area tends to get busy around mid-morning when families show up, but if you’re an early riser like me, you can have the whole place to yourself with your coffee. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because the whole place just felt… comfortable, I guess? It’s one of those rare spots where the 8.4 rating actually makes sense when you experience it – not perfect, but solidly good at everything that matters. The restaurant isn’t going to blow your mind, but they make a decent breakfast and the evening menu has a few surprises. Plus, the WiFi actually works everywhere, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places still can’t get that right.

  Sweet host. 500m from the beach. Just by the main road, but no noise at all. The host helped is a lot. Stayed there for 3 nights. Really good for the price.

  Lovely hotel. Had a good sized room with balcony and pool view. Maids came daily, changed the towels and cleaned the floor every other day. Small fridge and kettle in room which was useful, and they supplied fresh water daily. Staff were very helpful. Hired a moped from the hotel at 300bht per day, no deposit, and didn't have any worries of being ripped off. Amazingly peaceful despite being just off a busy road – you would think you were in the countryside.

  I’m unsure how it can be called a resort as there is no food or beveondite.
  Pool tiles need a sandblast around the pool as it’s dangerously slippery.
  Towels in the room need an urgent upgrade.
  Having said this it is a lovely hitel in an excellent location and woukd stay here sgsin

  Only a 10 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. Was just off the main road so a bit quieter.

  It was located close to the Main Street but still far away so you didn’t hear the noise.
  The room was big and spacious and it was really nice with a balcony.
  The woman that worked in the front desk was really nice and very helpful. Really funny as well.
