The staff here actually knows their stuff too – they helped me sort out a Phi Phi day trip without the usual tourist markup you get from the pier touts.

The location is pure gold if you’re planning to island hop. Chalong Pier is literally a five-minute walk, so you’re not dealing with early morning taxi hassles when you want to catch those 8 AM boats to Maya Bay or wherever. Plus, there’s this great little seafood place called Kan Eang just down the road that locals actually eat at – proper tom yum and grilled fish without the inflated Patong prices. The Big Buddha is close enough for an afternoon visit too, though honestly, go early before it gets stupidly hot. What surprised me was how the bay views from some rooms are actually pretty spectacular at sunset, especially during the quieter months. The water isn’t swimming-pool clear like you’ll find on the western beaches, but there’s something nice about watching the fishing boats come and go while you’re having your morning coffee. I’d say it’s perfect for people who want to be near the action but not right in the middle of the Patong madness – you get authentic Phuket life here.

  The room was very spacious and amazingly clean. Bed is very comfy.
  It is quite a peaceful place. If you want to be on your own and not socialize with people, this is a good place. For me it was a bit isolated. The pool seemed to be clean but I did not use it.

  Second time to stay here. Very nice place and friendly staff. Great if you want some peace and quiet. You need a car or motorcycle because it's too far to walk to the main bars/restaurants/beaches etc.
