When I had an issue with my room‘s air con making this weird rattling sound, they moved me within an hour, no drama. The rooms themselves are clean and modern enough, though don’t expect anything fancy. Think smart design over luxury – the bathroom’s compact but functional, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped.

What I really appreciate is how they’ve positioned themselves. You’re close enough to walk to all the madness – the night markets, that infamous Bangla Walking Street, decent Thai restaurants that aren’t total tourist traps – but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. Trust me on this one, because I’ve made the mistake of staying too close to the action before, and 3 AM karaoke sessions get old fast. The pool area is nothing spectacular, but it’s perfect for cooling off during those brutal afternoon hours when the sun makes walking around feel like punishment. I actually met some genuinely interesting fellow travelers there – you know how some hotel pools just feel antisocial? This isn’t one of those. The breakfast is pretty standard hotel fare, but they do a solid job with the local dishes if you skip the sad Western attempts. Honestly, for what you’re paying, it’s hard to complain. Centro One Patong gets the fundamentals right without pretending to be something it’s not, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re exploring a place as intense as Patong.

Hotel in Phuket booking should be done early, especially during high season when the island hosts internationally celebrated beach parties and cultural festivals at Patong Beach and other iconic locations.

  Wonderful stay, accessible to pharmacy, 7/11 store, laundry, ATMs, restaurants, bike hire etc. It gets noisy at night but we were pleased with the room they provided us, away from the noisy street. The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. The staff booked a taxi (900 baht) to get back to Phuket Airport.
