This four-star spot sits right in the heart of Karon Beach area, and I mean literally a stone’s throw from that gorgeous stretch of sand that’s way less crowded than Patong (thank goodness). You can actually hear the waves from most of the rooms, which is something I always check for – there’s nothing worse than being promised “beachfront” and getting traffic noise instead. The resort itself has this sort of modern Thai vibe going on, not too flashy but definitely well-maintained. I noticed they’ve really embraced the whole SHA Extra Plus thing seriously – hand sanitizer stations everywhere, staff wearing masks even outdoors, that kind of thorough approach that honestly made me feel more relaxed about traveling.

What really won me over though was how the staff seemed to genuinely know Phuket beyond just the tourist traps. The guy at the front desk – I think his name was Niran – actually steered me away from the overpriced restaurants on the main drag and pointed me toward this little seafood place where the locals eat, just a five-minute walk down Patak Road. That’s the kind of insider knowledge you can’t fake. The pool area is pretty solid too, nothing revolutionary but spacious enough that you’re not playing elbow wars with other guests, even during high season. I spent most afternoons there with a Chang beer, watching the palm trees sway and occasionally hearing the longtail boats putting out to the islands. The rooms are clean and comfortable – not luxury level, but honestly, when you’re spending most of your time on the beach or exploring the island, do you really need marble everything? My AC worked perfectly (crucial in that humidity), the shower had decent pressure, and the bed was actually comfortable, which sadly isn’t always a given at this price point. The 7.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what it promises without any nasty surprises. Plus, being right in Karon means you can walk to Big Buddha if you’re feeling ambitious, or just hop on a tuk-tuk to explore the viewpoints along the southern coast. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was looking for that sweet spot between affordability and actually enjoying my vacation.
