The rooms are, well, they’re what you’d expect for the price point – clean, functional, with that particular brand of Thai hotel air conditioning that sounds like a small aircraft but works like a charm. The bathrooms could use some updating (the tile grout tells stories), but honestly, when you’re spending most of your time exploring Phuket, it’s really just about having a comfortable place to crash.

Here’s the thing that surprised me most – the location is actually pretty clever. You’re walking distance from Jungceylon shopping center, which means you’ve got everything from 7-Eleven runs to proper restaurants without dealing with tuk-tuk negotiations every single time. And if you want to hit Patong Beach, it’s maybe a seven-minute walk, though you’ll definitely work up a sweat in that humidity. The hotel doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not, and there’s something refreshing about that in a destination where every other place is promising you’ll have the “experience of a lifetime.” Sometimes you just want a decent bed, a cold shower, and staff who remember your name after the second day – which, by the way, they actually do here. I’d probably stay again, especially if I was planning one of those Phuket trips where I’m bouncing around the island during the day and just need a reliable home base that won’t blow my budget.
