Each villa feels properly private too, which is something I really appreciated after staying at places where “luxury” apparently means you can hear your neighbor’s entire phone conversation through paper-thin walls.

Now, the interiors are where things get interesting – they’ve gone for this sort of understated elegance that actually works. The furnishings feel substantial (none of that flimsy resort furniture that wobbles when you look at it), and there’s this attention to detail in things like the bathroom fixtures and kitchen equipment that suggests they’re not cutting corners. I actually ended up cooking a few meals because the kitchen was so well-equipped, which honestly wasn’t something I planned on doing during what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway. The staff seems to really know their stuff too – not in that over-the-top concierge way, but more like they genuinely want to help you figure out what you’re looking for, whether that’s the best spot to watch the sunrise or where to get groceries without paying tourist prices.

Here’s the thing though – and maybe this explains that 7.2 rating – it’s not going to blow you away with flashy amenities or Instagram-perfect pool scenes. What it does is give you this really solid, comfortable base where you can actually relax without constantly feeling like you need to be somewhere or doing something. The lakefront location means you’ve got built-in entertainment if you’re into water activities, but it’s equally perfect if you just want to sit with a book and listen to the water. I found myself spending way more time just hanging around the property than I usually do, which for me is always a good sign. If you’re looking for non-stop action and poolside DJ sets, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want somewhere that feels more like borrowing a really nice friend’s lake house than staying at a typical resort, then yeah, this place definitely delivers on that promise.
