I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to 2 BR Modern Pool Villa Chalong, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another vacation rental in the area. But this four-star place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The modern design hits you right away, and I mean truly modern, not that fake contemporary stuff you see everywhere. Clean lines, floor-to-ceiling windows, and this gorgeous private pool that’s honestly the centerpiece of the whole experience.

What really got me was how thoughtfully everything was laid out. The two bedrooms are generous – and I mean actually spacious, not just “spacious for Thailand” if you know what I mean. The master has this incredible view of the surrounding hills, and you can hear the gentle sounds of Chalong in the distance without any of the tourist chaos. The kitchen is fully kitted out too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights. I actually cooked breakfast there most mornings because the local markets have incredible fresh ingredients, and there’s something satisfying about making your own Thai coffee while looking out at that pool.

Speaking of Chalong – and this is something most people don’t realize – you’re positioned perfectly here. Close enough to hit the pier for those Phi Phi day trips (seriously, book early), but far enough from the main drag that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of scooters and tour groups at all hours. The villa sits in this quieter residential pocket where you’ll see more locals going about their daily routines, which honestly gives you a better feel for actual life here. Parking was never an issue, and the property management was refreshingly responsive – they actually answered messages quickly and seemed to genuinely care about the experience. The pool area becomes magical in the evenings when those string lights kick on, and if you time it right around sunset, well… you’ll understand why this place has that 9.5 rating. It’s one of those spots where you find yourself extending your stay just because leaving feels wrong.
